Powers/Abilities: Mrs. Barbato is an excellent secretary although she has some difficulties spelling the word ethereal.

 

History: (DD II#20/1) Congratulates Matt Murdock on his latest victory (the case of Braxton vs. Rosen), and compliments him, telling him that everybody wants to hire him as their lawyer. Matt tells her that he won't make any appointments until next week, and Mrs. Barbato gives him a cup of coffee and leaves Foggy and Matt with their newest employee Elaine Kendricks. Later, when Samuel Griggs arrives at the offices of Nelson & Murdock, she tells Matt that Griggs is there to see him. He asks her if it's THE Samuel Griggs, so Mrs. Barbato asks Griggs if he is really Samuel Griggs and he tells her that he is, so she sends him to Matt's office.

(DD II#22) Comes into Matt 's office while he and Foggy are having a meeting with Elaine. Asks them how to spell the word Ethereal, Matt tells her how it's spelled and that it means "ghostlike". Ted Wertz arrives, and Mrs. Barbato leaves

(DD II#23) Mrs. Barbato comes to Matt's office once more, this time she is transcribing Mr. Bradlee's statement, and again she wants to know how to spell the word "Ethereal". Foggy & Matt smell a rat because Samuel Griggs and Mr. Bradlee both used the same word
