Real Name: Anthropomorpho
Identity/Class: Extradimensional, non-physical
Occupation: Prime Manifester
Group Membership: None
Affiliations: Leader(?) of Dimension of Manifestations;
Enemies: None
Known Relatives: None known Aliases: None Base of Operations: Dimension of
Manifestations First Appearance: Quasar#37 (August, 1992) Powers/Abilities: Like all natives of his realm,
Anthropomorpho is a living fractal, able to shape himself in an
infinite manner. He can assume a physical form for non-physical
or abstract beings. These forms have access to the full power of
the original being. He can also assume forms similar to other
physical beings, duplicating their powers and abilities in the
process. Any form he assumes would be allowed varying amounts of
input and independent action depending on the wishes of the
entity for which it is manifesting. It is not known if he would
actually be harmed if one of his forms were injured or destroyed.
It is likely that he could simply reform or reshape himself anew
by returning to the Dimension of Manifestations. History: Anthropomorpho's origin is
unrevealed. As his realm appears to exist at a different time
flow than the physical universe, it is impossible, or even
inapplicable, to attempt to determine his age. He is the Prime
Manifester of the Dimension of Manifestations. It is likely that
this is a position he ascended to, although it is possible that
he formed or was created to serve this position. As Prime Manifester, he communicates with any
being desiring Manifestation Bodies, or M-Bodies. This includes
numerous abstract or non-physical entities desiring contact with
the physical universe. In addition, other beings of power may use
M-Bodies to manifest their form at multiple sites simultaneously.
Young Manifesters serve as finite beings, taking on the role of
more powerful and/or abstract entities as they increase in
ability and experience. (Secret Wars II#6 (BTS)) - Anthropomorpho assisted an assemblage of cosmic beings
in the use of the Dimension of Manifestations in order to confront the Beyonder.
(Infinity Gauntlet#3-6 (BTS)) - The Dimension of Manifestations was employed by various cosmic beings during their confrontation
with Thanos over the Infinity Gauntlet.
(Warlock and the Infinity Watch#1 (BTS)) - The Dimension of Manifestations was used by
cosmic beings in their trial of Adam Warlock after he had obtained the Infinity Gauntlet.
(Quasar#38 (fb)) - In recent times, Anthropomorpho was contacted
by the Magus, who made a deal with him to create doppelgangers
of his opponents during the events of the Infinity War. These
doppelgangers were sent to attack their counterparts to occupy
them while he obtained the power of the Infinity Gauntlet. (Quasar#37) - Instructed to locate Eternity, Quasar was directed to the Dimension of Manifestations by the
Contemplator, and was introduced to Anthropomorpho, who explained to him how beings have employed him for the use of M-Bodies.
Quasar eventually located Eternity, who had been rendered catatonic by the Magus.
(Quasar#38) - After Quasar departed the Dimension of Manifestations, the Contemplator came across
the scene of Anthropomorpho creating the Magus' Doppelgangers for him.
(Quasar#49 (BTS)) - Quasar later made use of the Dimension of Manifestations in order to confront Death, in the hopes that he
could keep her from taking his mother's life, but he soon realized the futility of doing so and departed.
(Quasar#58) - Quasar again made use of the Dimension of Manifestations, and Anthropomorpho set up a meeting
with the Living Tribunal for him. Quasar attempted to have the Living Tribunal release his girlfriend Kayla Ballantine from
the New Universe's Earth, but the Living Tribunal refused to do so. (Avengers Infinity#4 (BTS)) - Quasar and his fellow Avengers made use of the Dimension of Manifestations in order to summon up
Eternity to oppose the Infinites, beings who threatened the universe.
Comments: Created by Mark Gruenwald, Greg Capullo and Harry Candelario. The use of M-Bodies makes sense, and explains a
previously unexplored corner of the Marvel universe. However,
thinking too much about exactly how they work and what they do
makes your brain hurt. anthropomorphism by CLARIFICATIONS: Anthropomorpho should not be confused with:
