Powers/Abilities: Ardina was made from the energies of the Silver Surfer, but it is unknown how many abilities she has inherited from him. It is known she can use the Power Cosmic to create energy blasts from her hands and fly.

History: (The Order I#4) - Nighthawk and the rest of the Defenders were told by Papa Hagg they needed female analogs to counter the Order. After finding analogs of all the Order except the Silver Surfer, Papa Hagg gave them a magic dagger that allowed them to siphon off some of the Silver Surfer's energy and create a female by using a spell invoking Umar, Hecate, Demeter, Jord, and Apalla. Once Ardina was created she and the rest of the Defenders were banished to a far off place.

(The Order I#5) - Finding themselves in a strange place the Defenders were rescued by Dr. Christopher Ganyrog and Romantic Objective Pamela. The Defenders then learned they were on the planet Yann and that Yandroth was manipulating the Order.

(The Order I#6) - As many of the earth's heroes were attacking the Order, the Defenders and warriors of Yann helped the heroes. Yandroth's manipulations were revealed and the Order was able to break away from his influence and defeat him. The people of Yann took Yandroth back to their world and Papa Hagg invited the female Defenders including Ardina to an island spa two dimensions over and they accepted.

(Civil War: Battle Damage Report) - Tony Stark considered Ardina as a potential Initiative recruit.

Ardina was originally a character from the Silver Surfer graphic novel by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, in which she was created by Galactus as a potential mate for the Silver Surfer. This was later ret-conned to be part of Earth-Moebius.

I'm not sure but I think Yann might be a parody of Adam Strange and the planet Rann.

It is unclear whether either of the Hecates seen in the Marvel Universe are the Hecate of Greek myth, presumably the source of magic in the above spell:
