CENSYS

Classification: Computer programming system, extra-temporal

Creator: Unrevealed

Users/Possessors: crew of Seeker 3000, Hkkkt

Aliases: Hubert, Jason, others unknown

First Appearance: Marvel Premiere#41 (April, 1978)

Powers/Abilities/Functions: Censys is programmed to serve whoever controls Seeker 3000. The program was originally designed to feature a different "personality" each day, each personality bearing a different name (ie, Hubert). Censys is also responsible for all communications aboard Seeker 3000, including the process of voting for a leader.

History: (Marvel Premiere#41) - The Censys computer system, programmed with it's "Hubert" personality, agreed with Captain Jordan Shaw when he became determined to steal Phaedra from the Six and jettison the Six's choices of DNA samples in lieu of those of randomly chosen scientists, philosophers and humanitarians.

After departing Earth's solar system, Shaw asked the computer for information on Life II, a project Jason had organized. This activated a fail-safe left by Jason which installed his personality to run Censys.

(Seeker 3000#1 (fb)) - After Jason brought about a civil war aboard Seeker 3000, John Running Bear gave his life to purge Jason from Censys' systems.

(Seeker 3000#1) - 25 years after Seeker 3000's launch, Censys was used by the crew to vote on a replacement captain following the death of Jordan Shaw. Censys predicted that Jericho would win the election, and was proven correct.

(Seeker 3000#3) - After the Hkkkt invaded Seeker 3000, their leader Lamia was fascinated to learn of Jason, and wondered if Jason had been truly purged. Censys ran a self-diagnostic to investigate this, and wound up finding Jason's program, which was uploaded to the Hkkkt vessel Jakarah.

(Seeker 3000#4 - BTS) - Jason used his knowledge of Censys' system to aid the Hkkkt in hunting down the crew of Seeker 3000, but was ultimately destroyed. Censys was found to be once more free of Jason's influence in the aftermath.
