History: (Marvel Age Annual#4/2)- Crooked Face committed a series of robberies in Springdale, offering no clues as to his identity, until during one scuffle, he was unmasked. The witness recognized him as Thomas Magee, and charges were brought against Thomas, only for him to come up with an airtight alibi, having been with several of his friends at a local bar at the time of the robbery in question. Justin Baldwin, who had prosecuted Magee, came off looking like a fool.
Crooked Face continued to commit robberies, but Thomas Magee's alibi remained airtight. When Madeline Naylor, Baldwin's wife, announced on television that she was confident that her husband would put Crooked Face away, Crooked Face decided to kill her. He set after her at the theatre where she was attending a rehearsal, but Crooked Face was sighted by Speedball. Although Speedball was too clumsy to capture him, Crooked Face was scared off.
Crooked Face then set off to Baldwin's house, having decided to rob the Baldwin family. However, Speedball jumped him from behind and knocked him out. He was found by Justin Baldwin who had him unmasked in front of Thomas Magee and Officers LaGuardia and Phipps. Crooked Face revealed that he was actually Eddie Magee, Thomas' brother, and refusing to take the fall alone, fingered Thomas as having planned their crimes. Officers Phipps and LaGuardia had Crooked Face and Thomas taken away.

CLARIFICATIONS: Thomas "Tommy" Magee was the brother of Eddie Magee, and a prominent businessman in Springdale. He planned the crimes Eddie committed as Crooked Face, and made certain that he was out drinking with his friends when his brother was active as Crooked Face. However, Thomas did not count on his brother becoming riled up against the Baldwins, which resulted in his defeat at the hands of Speedball. To Thomas' disgust, Eddie told the police everything, unwilling to go to prison alone, and Eddie went to prison with him.
