(Avengers: The Man who Stole Tomorrow (fb) - BTS) - On the morning of December 14, the Darvinians invaded the Earth dimension, seeking conquest of Earth, if not the entire universe to secure a breeding ground. They were foiled by the Avengers under unspecified circumstances.
Comments: Created by David Michilinie.
Following the battle above, the Avengers got stuck in their own elevator, during which time the Beast complained about how they had just saved the universe from a "marauding bunch of chrome-plated cockroaches" only to have this happen. The Vision clarified that they were close to the phylum Formicidae, and that their coating was closer to polymolybdenum. Iron Man later began to record the events for their files, only to be interrupted by the arrival of Aningan Kenojuak. The Darvinians weren't mentioned again.
The author of this profile and the head of the site's interest was picqued by the word cockroach, and the rest is history. Not really.
