(Amazing Spider Man I#262) - After "DJ" Jones had taken a picture of Spider-Man unmasked, he went to "Scruvy Jack"'s Tavern, and tried to sell the pictures to them. DeNatale's men didn't believe him, and threw him out. Afterwards they went to the back room of the tavern, and told their boss about the incident. DeNatale told them that they needed to get the information out of Jones, since Spider-Man had given them a lot of trouble over the years. He sent his men out to get Jones. They arrived at Jones' apartment and tried to get the information out of him, but Spider-Man appeared and saved Jones who managed to escape. He was stopped by DeNatale himself, who threatened to kill Jones with his handgun, but Spider-Man stopped DeNatale by throwing one of DeNatale's own men at him, thereby knocking him out.
(Amazing Spider-Man I#262 - BTS) - DeNatale and his men were taken in by the police. Jones decided to leave town, afraid that DeNatale and his men might be out on bail later the next day.
