History: (Captain America I#100) - The one-time pilot of Baron Heinrich Zemo had usurped the Zemo identity, and was opposed by both Captain America and the Black Panther, as well as SHIELD agent Sharon Carter. He managed to corral the two heroes, leading them straight to his Destructon, which he believed would stop them. The three heroes struggled against the robot, unable to injure it even with Sharon's pistol, but finally Captain America realized that the studs upon its head were its main function controls and that by damaging those, the Destructon was no longer able to function.
(Thunderbolts#50) - Using plans of Baron Zemo's obtained on a raid of Baron Helmut Zemo's lab, the Commission on Superhuman Activities contructed a new Destructon, which was used by Henry Peter Gyrich in an attempt to hold back the Redeemers, a CSA/V Battalion-organized team assembled to ferret him out. The Redeemers made short work of the Destructon, as the member Scream was able to slice it in half with a sonic pitch.
