DRAGONA

Real Name: Dragona

Identity/Class: Deviant

Occupation: Protector

Group Membership: Delta Force

Affiliations: Avengers (Black Knight (Dane Whitman), Captain America (Steve Rogers), Crystal, Giant-Man (Henry Pym), Hercules, Sersi), Brother Tode, Kro

Enemies: Thor, Eternals, Ghaur, Deviants (including Karygmax)

Known Relatives: Erishkigal (sister, deceased)

Aliases: None

Base of Operations: Subterranea; formerly, New Lemuria

First Appearance: Thor I#286 (August, 1979)

Powers: Dragona is a Deviant whose only initial sign of mutation was blue skin. She was later observed to have wings growing from her back, which permit her to fly. Presumably, she is able to conceal these wings. She can also breathe fire from her mouth.

History: (Thor I#286) - As the Asgardian Thor, his Deviant ally Karkas, and the Eternals invaded the new Deviant base of New Lemuria, the Deviants' ruler, Brother Tode, brought Dragona with him in his Rail Jet. The Rail Jet car had room only for two, leaving Warlord Kro abandoned in New Lemuria as Tode had it destroyed.

BTS- In the years that followed, Dragona joined Kro's Delta Network, a collection of Deviants who wished to bring about better lives for the Deviant people. She also set herself up as a protector of the Deviant people, saving children from being sacrificed at "Purity Time".

(Avengers I#370) -Dragona's first known mission for Delta Force came when the Deviant Priestlord Ghaur was resurrected, and captured several members of the Avengers to create a Uni-Mind that he could control.

(Avengers I#371) - Dragona attacked Ghaur, but his power to control the genetic codes of all Deviants permitted him to enwrap her within her own wings. When Ghaur formed his Uni-Mind, he gained the combined powers of all those who had formed it. However, Dragona flew the Avenger Black Knight at Ghaur, and he cut open the Uni-Mind, freeing those inside. Although the Uni-Mind was destroyed, Ghaur remained in control of Lemuria as Delta Force departed.
