Occupation: Criminal, Packrat
Group Membership: None
Affiliations: None Enemies: Speedball
Known Relatives: None Aliases: Birdie (as he referred to
himself) Base of Operations: a water tower in
Springdale, Connecticut First Appearance: Marvel Comics Presents#14
(early March, 1989) Powers: The Feathered Felon could fly
via wings, which were independent of his arms. He was fast and
agile, both in the air and on the ground. He was obsessed with
pretty objects, such as gems, handbags, and anything else which
caught his eye. It is not known if these abilities are within
his own body or due to the power of a suit he wears. It is
similarly not known if he is wearing a suit of any kind, or if
this is his true form. His level of intelligence and reasoning
ability is uncertain. If he is human, he either lacked
socialization or is mentally unbalanced. History: (Marvel Comics Presents#14/3)- The Feathered Felon suddenly
appeared in Springdale, Connecticut, swooping down from the sky
and taking anything that interested him. Early on, he stole the
briefcase of Justin Baldwin, which contained important
information on the Saint-Vire trial on which he was prosecutor.
This attracted the attention of Speedball, who was both the son
of Justin Baldwin, and Springdale's sole super-hero. The Feathered Felon easily evaded Speedball's
attempts to catch him in the sky. Speedball next secretly tracked
him back to the water tower in which he stole his loot. Speedball
confronted the him and after a brief scuffle, discovered that
something was off with the Feathered Felon. As Speedball tried to
explain what was wrong with its statement "Fun! Fun! You
want? You take!", the Feathered Felon kicked him in the
head, flew out the window and escaped. Comments: Created by Steve Ditko and Jo
Duffy. No information is known on his background. He
could be a mutant; an evolved bird, along the lines of the
Ani-Mate known as Bird-Brain; one of the Avians of Sky Island
(home of Red Raven), etc. The Feathered Felon was said to have been one of the early patrons to the Bar
With No Name visited in the text story "Losers!" in Marvel Year-in-Review '92.
This guy would be a great partner for Squirrel
