Powers/Abilities: As the Grizzly, Ace Fenton wore a costume which made him appear to be a grizzly bear, walking on its hind legs. The costume was lined with steel to protect him from bullets, and he could manipulate a rifle with his paws.
History: (Rawhide Kid I#40)- As the Grizzly made off with a sack he stole from a pony express rider, he had to fight off both the Two-Gun Kid, and the Rawhide Kid. After his rifle ran out of shells, the Grizzly took off, protected by his steel hide.
The Rawhide Kid was suspected of having robbed the pony express, and was convinced by the Two-Gun Kid to turn himself over to a trial. Ace Fenton himself began to stir up Tombstone against the Kid, encouraging the idea that the Kid had trained the Grizzly to rob the pony express.
On the day of the Rawhide Kid's trial, the Grizzly broke into the courtroom and abducted him to make people think they were a team. He then tried to kill the Kid, but the Kid beat him in combat and removed his mask, although he failed to glimpse his face before the Grizzly escaped.
The Rawhide Kid and Two-Gun Kid found the Grizzly's empty costume and entered the local saloon, claiming to all that could hear that the Grizzly had made one mistake. Ace Fenton then gave himself away, fooled by their bluff, and the Rawhide Kid beat him in a shoot-out and turned him over to the authorities.

Fenton was rather nimble in that costume, considering how heavy it must have been. I'm surprised he was able to outrun anyone.
