History: (Uncanny X-Men and Fantastic Four '98 Annual)- Hadley witnessed the humiliation of its creator Dr. Beynon Bradley as the Miniaturizer he created was patented by Mr. Fantastic first. After Beynon was fired, Hadley joined Beynon in raiding the facilities of Stark-Fuijikawa and stealing the costume and Control Box of the Fantastic Four enemy Psycho-Man. Hadly donned the Psycho-Man's uniform and was sent by Beynon to attack the Thing and Human Torch.
The Thing and Human Torch were at the time playing a game of poker with the X-Men Wolverine and Cannonball. Between the four of them, the heroes were able to tear open the Psycho-Man armor, and seemingly deactivated him. They then spied a flare fired by Mr. Fantastic, and went to join him and the Invisible Woman. As the Thing and Wolverine journeyed there in a cab, Hadley reappeared, having made self-repairs. He engaged the two in battle, but the Thing hurled Wolverine at Hadley with a "fastball special" that tore him apart. Hadley was apparently damaged irreparably.
Comments: Created by Joe Casey, Paul Pelletier, Leo Fernandez, Andrew Pepoy, Keith Champagne, Rob Leigh, and Ray McCarthy.
Given Hadley's resemblance to H.E.R.B.I.E., we can assume that he was yet another instance in which one of Bradley's inventions was developed by Reed Richards almost simultaneously.
