Powers/Abilities: Home Wrecker was an accomplished heavy equipment operator, and he probably knew how to maintain and repair heavy equipment machinery as well. He used a wrecking-ball crane to destroy/damage buildings in his appearance.
History:
Like
almost all of the Hostess
characters, Home Wrecker is a moist, fruity mystery baked into an
enigmatically light and flaky crust wrapped in an easily
disposable puzzle. In other words, nothing is known about his
past.
("Spider-Man Meets the Home Wrecker" (fb) - BTS) - Through
yet-to-be revealed means, Home Wrecker made a
name
for himself in the destruction business.
("Spider-Man Meets the Home Wrecker") - While Home Wrecker was damaging
buildings with a crane-operated
wrecking ball, he was well known enough to be identified by
Spider-Man by name when the hero confronted him. Luckily, Spidey
had Hostessâ cherry pies on hand, and their flaky crusts and
moist
fillings quelled Home Wrecker's destructive yearnings. Spider-Man left
him bound up in cable.
(Fin Fang Four Return!#1/5 (fb) - BTS) - Home Wrecker was imprisoned somewhere in NY state.
(Fin Fang Four Return!#1/5) - The robot Elektro, mistakenly identified as a villain and arrested, was ushered into the prison's S-Wing where he met various past Spider-Man villains, including Home Wrecker. Later, inspired by Elektro's defiance, he and the other inmates of S-Wing smashed their way out only to be subdued by the prison guards using sedation foam.

So what was this guy's deal? It doesn’t seem like someone could be a successful criminal when their main criminal tool/gimmick is slow moving heavy machinery. Maybe he was an construction worker who got knocked on the noggin one too many times without his hardhat, leaving a soft, creamy filling inside his cranium. Maybe he’s a disgruntled (ex-) construction worker looking for vengeance against the industry. Perhaps he’s a radical anarchist. Perhaps he’s as nutty as Hostess pies are fruity. Perhaps he’s a number of these, all of these, or none of these. Perhaps I just have way too much free time on my hands. Maybe I could fill them heavy equipment controls-- or better yet Hostess snacks!
Of all the Hostess villains, only Icemaster has shown up in an Earth-616 title. He could have crossed over to Earth-616 from "Earth-Hostess," but I say leave them on Earth-616 until proven otherwise. Nonetheless, until they do show up in regular continuity, they remain outside regular canon. Surely someone will write a story teaming them all together.---Snood.
And now they've been found! ... in a dark corner of an ignored prison ...
You can get the whole Hostess story, and some clever commentary from Seanbaby's The Hostess Page. It might not meet with the Comics Code Authority's approval, so kids, ask your parents before checking that out!
Perhaps the awesome mind-altering powers of Twinkies has been neutralized to prevent its will-sapping power falling into the wrong hands...---Grendel Prime
His real name was revealed in Elektro's profile in OHotMU A-Z Update 2010#2.
