History: (Black Panther I#7) - When the first of the royal family came to the palace, Jiru brought Joshua Itobo to the offices of N'Gassi and told him that the first one had arrived.
(Black Panther I#8) - Jiru told N'Gassi that the members of the royal family awaited him; although he was very loyal to N'Gassi and his opinions, he still questioned if those four members of the royal family who had arrived were up for the task that they were about to give them. He told N'Gassi that a warrior's hand might be better suited for the task, and asked N'Gassi if he should be used instead. N'Gassi told Jiru that the offer was greatly appreciated but it was only for the royal family to handle.
(Black Panther I#9) - In his office, N'Gassi talked with Jiru, and was angry at himself for calling the royal family to help -- one was too old (Ishanta), one was too fat (Zuni), one was too much into racing (Khanata), and the last one was barely an adult (Joshua Itobo). They both regreted that T'Challa hadn't come yet. Later, when Itobo was examining Jakarra, Jiru told both N'Gassi and Itobo that if they let Jakarra live, they would all die. When N'Gassi and Itobo told Jiru that they just couldn't kill him, Jiru replied "Jakarra is no longer human."
(BP I#10) - Jiru went to the chamber where Itobo was examining Jakrra, only to learn that he had broken free. Jiru said "We should have disobeyed the ruling family and destroyed that thing," but N'Gassi told him that it was too late now.
