THE KILLER VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE!
Classification: Remote-controlled automobile
Creator: The Corporation
User/Posessors: Veda
First Appearance: Captain America I#222 (June, 1978)
Powers/Abilities/Functions: The Killer Volkswagen Beetle was a typical VW Beetle, fast and maneuverable. It could be controlled from a distance by remote-control, and was somehow able to gain access to a third-story apartment.
History: (Captain America I#222)- The Killer Volkswagen Beetle was unleashed upon Captain America by Veda, an agent of the Corporation. The bug somehow smashed its way through the window into the third-story apartment of Steve Rogers, and skidded through the apartment, chasing Captain America down. Although Captain America was able to evade the VW's assaults, he couldn't destroy the vehicle himself, so he had the vehicle follow him, hoping "That the average VW, for all its durability and ease of handling...is still less agile than Captain America! I hope."
He led the twisted love bug down the hallway of the building, and leapt out a window at the end of the hall! The VW followed straight after him, and fell all three stories to the ground with a "ba-doom", while Captain America hung to the side of the building.
