History: (Marvel Atlas I#1 - France entry -
BTS) - La Nuit was a French mutant who joined the media-savvy X-Force
team.
(X-Force#116 (fb)) - La Nuit was teamed with Battering Ram and Plazm on a mission with X-Force in North Africa, where he cast darkness over the soldiers, allowing Plazm and Battering Ram to take down several of the soldiers. During the mission, Gin Genie generated an earth tremor that was accidentally so powerful that it nearly killed la Nuit and the others.
(X-Force I#120 (fb) - BTS) - X-Force team leader
Zeitgeist reviewed footage of la Nuit and the others with team manager
Coach and they discussed killing off most of X-Force to bring in new
members as a way to please X-Force's investors.
(X-Force I#116) - After Zeitgeist reviewed footage of la Nuit and the others on their North African mission, la Nuit was seen suiting up for a press conference as the anxiety-ridden Gin Genie went into a panic. Attempting to calm her down, la Nuit suggested Gin Genie drink some coffee, take her medication, do a few breathing exercises and go to the bathroom, offering to cast a shroud of darkness around Gin Genie to hide her blotchy skin during the conference. Later, la Nuit was present for the X-Force mission briefing from the Coach, where they learned they would be going to New York's Sonic TV headquarters to rescue boy band Boyz R Us from a group of armed gunmen. During the mission, however, la Nuit was killed along with most of the X-Force team by a helicopter firing on the team.
(X-Force I#120 - BTS) - Images of la Nuit were merchandised and licensed out for products, including a statue of la Nuit inside one of the X-Force Cafe theme restaurants and an expensive crystal print of a photo of la Nuit with the rest of X-Force, which X-Force team owner Spike Freeman smashed with a sledgehammer. New X-Force team leader Orphan later viewed the footage of Zeitgeist and Coach discussing killing off la Nuit and the rest of X-Force.
(X-Men Icons: Chamber#1 - BTS) - When the X-Man
Chamber went undercover on a college campus, his roommate Walter showed
Chamber televised footage of la Nuit and his X-Force teammates in
action in an effort to prove to Chamber that mutants were celebrities.
