History: (Rawhide Kid#22)- Many years ago, the Living Totem's starship crashed on the Earth in the American southwest, stranding him. He attempted to subjugate the people of earth, but was sealed below underground by native medicine men, until the late 1800's, when Ben Bragg, foreman of a silver mine, blasted too deep, releasing him.

Fortunately, the Rawhide Kid was among Bragg's workers, and he fought the Living Totem below in the mines, but was unable to prevent him from reaching the surface. Now above ground, the alien sealed the workers inside of the mine, and headed towards human populations, planning to re-establish control. But along the way, the Rawhide Kid caught up with him, and fired twelve bullets at him so quickly that the gunsmoke blinded the Totem; the Rawhide Kid then pushed him over a cliff, into a bottomless canyon.

(West Coast Avengers#18)- Some years later, Iron Mask recovered the Living Totem, and employed him as his secret weapon in his army of costumed villains. When the remainder of his forces had been devastated by the combined might of the Rawhide Kid, Two-Gun Kid, Phantom Rider and West Coast Avengers, Iron Mask released the Living Totem upon them! However, their combined might was much greater than his-- Mockingbird tripped his legs, and Iron Man buried him under a cliffside.

Ulysses Bloodstone, as the Redstone Kid, tracked the Living Totem, according to Marvel Monsters: From the Files of Ulysses Bloodstone and the Monster Hunters#1. However since there was no direct encounter, Bloodstone is not listed as an enemy.
