History: (Fantastic Four I#366)- After Dylan, a fellow student at E.S.U, tried to anger Johnny Storm, Johnny flamed on, and scared Dylan. The Torch was stopped by Bridget O'Neil, who was angry at Johnny for using his powers against normal human beings. Johnny was impressed with her for standing up to him.
(Fantastic Four I#371)- Later at E.S.U., Johnny met Bridget again, but she told him that she would prefer that he stay out of her sight. Suddenly Johnny was attacked by his enemies Paibok and Devos. Paibok froze Bridget in a block of ice, but Johnny freed her by melting the ice. Other students brought her to safety. In the course of his battle with Devos and Paibok, Johnny unleashed his "nova flame", which burnt down part of E.S.U.
(Fantastic Four I#377)- At the day of the trial of Johnny Storm, Bridget put in an appearance. Johnny was glad to see her, and she told him that she was testifying on his behalf because it was the right thing for her to do, since he saved her from Paibok and Devos. Lyja noticed the attention Johnny gave Bridget, and became a little jealous.
(Fantastic Four I#393)- Later at E.S.U, Bridget bumped into Johnny and asked him out for coffee. At the coffee shop she told him that she was a archaeology student, and was about to join Professor Simon Janson at the Keewazi Reservation in Oklahoma. When Johnny told her that he had friends there, she asked him if he wanted to join her.
(Fantastic Four I#394)- At the Keewazi Reservation, Bridget worked alongside Professor Janson and Johnny Storm. After Johnny learned that not only his old friend Wyatt Wingfoot was at the reservation there, but also She-Hulk, Bridget told them that she was sorry to break off the "family reunion", but she had an ancient civilation to dig up.
As Bridget set back to work, she and She-Hulk heard someone shouting nearby, and foud an old indian arguing with Professor Janson. Later she heard a cry from Janson's tent, and suddenly a creature came flying out from the tent! Calling itself Raptor The Renegade, he attacked the camp. She-Hulk asked Bridget to call Wyatt and Johnny on the radio for help. When Raptor the Renegade fired a blast at her, Bridget was saved by a young blond woman, who brought her to safety. After Johnny defeated Raptor, Bridget admitted to him that she was scared and that she thought he was brave. He gave her a hug.
(Fantastic Four I#395)- Bridget had a short conversation with Laura Green, the "mystery girl", who saved her from Raptor (actually Lyja in disguise). She told her that she hadn't been able to find any record of her name anywhere, and that she had noticed that she had kept mostly to herself. Laura introduced herself to Bridget, and claimed to be a late addition to the class, that her paperwork must have been lost in the shuffle, and that she was surprised that anyone had noticed her at all. Bridget told Laura that she had been noticed, and in particular by a certain Johnny Storm. She also told Laura that she wasn't Johnny Storm's girlfriend.
(Fantastic Four I#396 (BTS))- Bridget continued her work at the reservation alongside Professor Janson and his class.
