Powers/Abilities: Shiv's body was imbedded with knife fragments, such that he would lacerate others on contact. The magical energies that empowered him made him immune to injuries from these blades.

History:
(Nightstalkers#5) - Shiv led an occult ceremony in which his brethren sacrificed puppies, birds, and other small animals to his dark masters. The ceremony was interrupted by the Nightstalkers who attacked those participating. Shiv assembled the Malacoda blades to try to fight them off, but Blade shattered them with his swords, and the exploded in a burst of magical energy, impregnating Shiv with knife fragments. Crawling away, Shiv found himself in the path of an oncoming car. Shiv dropped beneath the car, shredding its fuselage, and then feigned injury. The driver, Adam Casim, got out to check on him; Shiv shredded him with his knives and then slew Adam's wife and son. Adam recovered and attacked Shiv with an emergency flare, which ignited the spilled fuel from his car, causing an explosion. Shiv was then blasted by Frank Drake's gun Linda (The Exorcist), incapacitating him.
    Shiv was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where most of the fragments were removed under anesthesia. Upon recovering, Shiv coughed up another blade, slew the security guard, and fled.

(Nightstalkers#6) - Arriving in a sporting goods shop, Shiv stole a number of hunting blades and restocked his built-in supply. Believing he had been punished by his dark lord for sacrificing only small animals, Shiv then went to the Magickal Brew in an effort to obtain a black market baby to sacrifice. When the owner, Aleister, told him that he wouldn't have anything like that, Shiv began attacking his customer Mrs. LaFountaine. The Nightstalkers, having tracked Shiv down, arrived to stop him. Drake blasted him again, this time neutralizing the magical energies that had mutated him. Suddenly in agony from the blades penetrating him, Shiv was helpless against Casim, who had gained fiery powers from his battle with Shiv, and who suddenly attacked him. Hungry for revenge, Casim projected a burst of flame into Shiv, leaving only a skeleton.
