Smoke Scream was recruited by Angar the Screamer (under the alias of the Voice) to assist with part of a mission from the Roxxon Oil Company to hijack and raid a SHIELD (Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate) Helicarrier. This mission was successful, although eventually, Nick Fury, along with a new group of SHIELD Super-Agents managed to find and board the Helicarrier. One of the Super-Agents, Psi-Borg used her powers to contain and condense the vapor produced by Smoke Scream until it reached "critical mass," and she exploded.
