Powers/Abilities: Sneak Thief is skilled in stealth, and is a proficient thief and lockpick, and a reasonably skilled combatant. She has the power to make herself invisible to many forms of detection, with the exception of ultra-violet light. She can refract infra-red light.
History: Unrevealed. Even Sneak Thief does not know the origin of her powers, although she was offended when someone suggested that she might be a mutant. She is a wanted criminal in several states.
(Spider-Man: The Arachnis Project#1) - She was hired by the Life Foundation and sent to steal a vase from Williams University as a test of her abilities. They also sent the Spoiler to monitor her, and when she was caught by Spider-Man, Spoiler prepared to terminate her for her failure. However, Warrant then arrived to capture her to earn her bounty.
(Spider-Man: The Arachnis Project#2) - While Spidey, Spoiler, and Warrant fought over who would get her, the Sneak Thief escaped and fled. However, Warrant, who knew of her limitation with regards to ultra-violet, tracked and captured her, turning her over to the police. No sooner had Warrant left than the Diggers--other agents of the Life Foundation--broke through the ground and took Sneak Thief from the police.
(Spider-Man: The Arachnis Project#3) - The Diggers returned her to the Life Foundation underground bunker, where she was placed in prison by General Orwell Taylor. There she discovered that her earring had been bugged, which was how the Diggers had found her.
(Spider-Man: The Arachnis Project#4) - Sneak Thief picked her lock and escaped her cell. While searching for a way out, she helped Miho Mikashi--who had also been captured by and escaped from agents of the Life Foundation--to hide from her pursuers.
(Spider-Man: The Arachnis Project#5) - After Drake turned into Homo Arachnis and turned the Life Foundation base into a warzone, Sneak Thief told Miho that the only way they stood a chance was to "become a pair of pistol packin' mamas." They raided the Jury's barracks, loaded up with weaponry, and Miho became Gunplay. Shortly thereafter, Sneak Thief comforted Miho as she saw her father sacrifice himself to try to destroy the Arachnis formula.
(Spider-Man: The Arachnis Project#6) - Sneak
Thief was amidst the chaos as the Jury and Spider-Man fought
Venom and then all teamed up against Homo Arachnis. In order to
escape the bunker which Miho's father had set on self-destruct,
they had to pass through a corridor guarded with motion activated
laser beams. Both Screech and Spider-Man failed in their efforts
to reach the other side to deactivate the defense system, but
Sneak Thief easily walked down the corridor and simply turned it
off.
It is not clear whether Sneak Thief was
arrested after escaping the bunker--like the Jury--or whether she
got away.
Comments: Created by Mike Lackey and Andrew Wildman
I think I read somewhere that Sneak Thief and the newer Jury member Wysper were the same person. Whoever made that conclusion is on crack. Short of being brunette, short-haired women, they don't have anything in common.
Out of gratitude for being hired and receiving a costume from Drake and Treece, Sneak Thief was kind enough to change in front of them.
CLARIFICATIONS:
She is not Wysper

Spider-Man: The Arachnis Project#1-6 (August, 1994 - January, 1995) - Mike Lackey (writer), Andrew Wildman (pencils), Stephen Baskerville (inks), Eric Fein (editor)
