Real Name: Tarakis
Identity/Class: Extra-terrestrial
Occupation: Servant to Thanos, formerly Grand Vizier to Odin
Group Membership: None
Affiliations: Mangog, Thanos
Enemies: Firelord, Most life in general, Odin, Thor
Known Relatives: None

Base of Operations: Formerly Asgard, At Thanos' side
First Appearance: Thor II#15 (September, 1999)
Powers/Abilities: Tarakis in his Asgardian form presumably had the physical attributes of a normal Asgardian. He was adept at making harmful potions and could detect if one was telling the truth or not. In his monster like form, he had an unknown degree of super strength, as well as the ability to fire energy blasts capable of stunning Thor and Firelord.
History: Nothing of what Tarakis is or where he comes from is known. At one point he became a servant of Thanos and was sent to infiltrate Asgard disguised as a loyal servant to Odin.
(Thor II#15)- Tarakis, disguised as a faithful Asgardian servant, addressed Odin. He alerted Odin of a predicament Thor was in involving the Enchanters on Earth. Tarakis then gave Odin a potion to heal him (or so Odin believed) after his being tortured by the Dark Gods.
(Thor II#16)- Tarakis advised Odin about the Enchanters. Odin dismissed him. It is later seen that this was actually Loki in disguise as Odin.
(Thor II#17)- Tarakis went to see Odin, but we don't get to find out why, since Odin, who at the time was still Loki in disguise, quickly dismissed him.
(Thor II#20)- Tarakis was present while Odin and Thor forced confessions out of the Enchanters, who were recently defeated in an attempt to kill Thor and Odin. Tarakis confirmed that they were telling the truth. Tarakis gave Odin a potion to help him recover some more, and then went to prepare the dining hall for a feast.
(Thor II#21)- It was revealed to the Asgardians that Tarakis was actually working with Thanos and Mangog in a plot of universal slaughter. His potions had actually been weakening Odin. Alongside Thanos, Tarakis took the Map of the All-Ending from Odin. This was but one of several things they intended to collect to grant them the power to slaughter most of the universe. Tarakis teleported away with the other villains.
(Thor II#24)- Tarakis was seen complimenting Thanos as he and Mangog neared the final stages of their plan for universal slaughter. Later, when the three villains were found by Thor and Firelord, Tarakis shed his disguise and revealed a dark monster-like form. Tarakis and Mangog battled with Thor and Firelord. Tarakis first battled Firelord, and then blasted Firelord into some ice, which he then encased him into. Mangog went on to incapacitate Thor from behind.
(Thor II#25)- Thanos had achieved the power he was seeking and after Thor had taken Mangog out of the fight, Tarakis asked Thanos to let him kill Thor. Before he could however, Tarakis himself was blasted into pieces by Firelord.

Snood was wondering, and quite frankly so was I, about how
this guy got into Odin's good graces. We both thought Odin finally had a grand
vizier.
--actually, Odin always did have a Vizier. I thought the Vizier finally had a
name. They never explained what the deal was...
