First Appearance: Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu#18/4 (November, 1975)
Powers/Abilities: None. Whitewash has connections to several members of Harlem's criminal underworld, and acts as an information source to them. He is an experienced bartender and is able to use a machine gun and presumably other weapons.
Appearance: He is presumably African-American, but he is definitely an albino, meaning he has little to no pigment in his skin.
History: Unrevealed. Whitewash has a definite history as an associate of Harlem's criminal underground, as well as a less than friendly history with Blackbyrd. He apparently used to manufacture counterfeit police badges.
(Deadly Hands of Kung-Fu#18/4) - Whitewash was tending bar in Harlem when he spotted Blackbyrd, who was having drinks with friends. Whitewash incorrectly assumed that Blackbyrd was investigating the Black Hand, which was operating out of the back room. Whitewash ran out of the bar to report to the Black Hand, but was noticed by Blackbyrd, who followed him. Whitewash had time to warn them, and Snake Eyes and the Black Hand confronted Blackbyrd, who was soon joined by his allies, the Sons of the Tiger and Iron Fist. The heroes won the sturggle, and Whitewash was left nervously tending bar for the five of them as they celebrated their victory.
(Deadly Hands of
Kung-Fu#27) - While investigating the
Corporation and el Tigre, Blackbyrd, Lt.
DeAngelo, and the White Tiger checked out the Harlem Bar, el
Tigre. Blackbyrd found Whitewash tending bar and attempted to
pump him for information, but Whitewash pulled out a machine gun
and opened fire. The heroes narrowly avoided the bullets until
the White Tiger kicked the gun from his hand, and then knocked
him out. A Corporation monitor had been watching this and began
firing lasers at them until the White Tiger took that out as
well.
Several present at the bar were killed by the lasers, but even
with a murder rap against him, Whitewash refused to reveal
information about the Corporation, because he knew that its
agents could reach him even in prison.
Comments: Created by Bill Mantlo and Pat Broderick.
