AMIR
Real Name: Presumably Amir
Identity/Class: Human vampire
Occupation: Predator;
Group Membership: Vampires of Earth;
Vampire Nation
Affiliations: Dahlia, Dracula, Leslie, unidentified vampire "youth";
Enemies: Blade (Eric Brooks),
Known Relatives: None
Aliases: None
Base of Operations: Unrevealed;
destroyed in Pripyat, the city nearby Chernobyl, Ukraine;
previous base of operations unrevealed
First Appearance: Death of Dr. Strange: Blade#1#1 (December, 2021)
Powers/Abilities: As a vampire, Amir had superhuman strength (likely lifting around 1000 lbs.) and required regular blood meals to survive.
Further,
feeding on a human victim would turn that victim into a
vampire, depending on the extent of the feeding and other
circumstances.
Those he vampirized may or may not have been subservient to him.
He certainly had a vulnerability to a wooden stake through the heart, and he presumably had the other standard vampire vulnerabilities, such as to sunlight, religious icons, garlic, and silver.
When fully fed, he could likely heal rapidly from non-fatal wounds.
He may or may not have been able to transform into a normal-sized or giant bat or into a wolf or mist.
Amir was apparently bold enough to challenge Blade directly, but he was completely terrified of Dracula.
History:
(Avengers VII#32 - BTS) -
After Dracula established a new vampire kingdom in Pripyat, the city near Chernobyl, Ukraine. numerous vampires flocked there.
(Death of Dr. Strange: Blade#1 (fb) - BTS) - Amir and other younger vampires
were drawn to Dahlia, who -- despite being over 100 years old -- had a
gift for making alliances with the younger vampires.
(Avengers VII#45 - BTS) / Death of Dr. Strange: Blade#1 (fb) - BTS) - After Dracula consented to having
Blade live in the Vampire Nation as its sheriff, Dahlia considered that
that made Dracula look weak.
(Death of Dr. Strange: Blade#1 - BTS) - In Pripyat, the vampires celebrated the apparent death of Dr. Stephen Strange.
(Death of Dr. Strange: Blade#1) - Alongside Leslie
and another unidentified young vampire, Amir (wearing a Dr. Strange costume) taunted Blade, asking how his costume looked and noting that his buddies had told him it was pretty accurate.
Dahlia subsequently arrived and warned that the Daywalker was looking
grumpy and may write them up, but Amir replied that they knew rules: "Look, but don't munch."
As Dahlia voiced her opinion that Dracula's use of Blade made him weak, Dracula appeared, and Amir stammered out, "L-lord Dracula...!"
Dracula advised Dahlia that he tolerated her rudeness because she had
not yet
broken any of his laws and reminded her that while she and his other
Vampire Council members had uses, her friends were not on the council;
this caused both Amir and Leslie to gulp in panic.
As tensions rose, Dahlia
decided she was done with that scene and decided to depart to find
another party, and Amir, Leslie, and their other friend followed her.
The city was later assaulted by extradimensional vampires, and Blade
and the Dracula's bodyguard slew all but one of the
invaders, Fio'ri
(a youth whom the other invaders had allegedly captured). Amir watched from the crowd silently.
(Death of Dr. Strange: Blade#1 - BTS) - The emotion-manipulating Fio'ri subsequently amplified the fears of Leslie and another guard to the point of incapacitating them.
(Death of Dr. Strange: Blade#1 - BTS) - Dracula and Blade destroyed the Fio'ri-empowered Dahlia and Fio'ri, respectively.
(Death
of Dr. Strange: Blade#1) - Amir confronted Blade, asking if he thought
any of them were going to forget what he had done to Dahlia and Leslie.
Blade advised him to back off, mocking that Amir would piss himself if he (Blade) even stood up a little more straightly, "not that anyone would be able to tell in that snot rag you're calling an outfit."
Enraged, Amir took a swing at Blade, who easily dodged and punched him
to the ground. Blade challenged Amir to come at correctly and then
mocked Amir as being too slow before shoving a stake into his chest and
leaving him in ashes.

Amir is a name of Arabic origin,
and -- according to Wikipedia and multiple websites -- it originally
meant commander, but later came to refer to a commander's son, and to
commonly mean "prince." From the same source, Amir was the 5th most
popular name for Black boys in West Virginia in 2022, so just the name
does not confirm that this vampire Amir is from an Arabic nation or
even of Arabic descent. Also from the same source, in Persian, Amir
means "Immortal"; and in Pashto (an Afghan language), it means "leader"
or "boss"; depending on the spelling in Hebrew it means "Crown"
(treetop) or a small sheaf or bundle of grain (usually wheat or barley).
I
am not 100% certain that the young vampire confronting and then being
destroyed by Blade was Amir and not this guy. That vampire had the
darker fleshtones of the Captain America, but the hairstyle seemed
closer to Amir's. Neither of them seemed to have an earring...maybe it
wasn't either of them...
