History:
(Wizard: The Guide to Comics I#71 - "Amalgamania: The Top 10 Amalgams 'Wizard' Wants to See" (fb) - BTS) - Abused teenager Robert Bruce Fairchild sought solace in the desert, away from his family strife and bullying classmates. One night, he wandered onto the test site for a gamma bomb weapon and when the bomb went off, Robert was killed in the radioactive inferno, only to be reborn as a hulkling undead creature.

(Wizard: The Guide to Comics I#71 - "Amalgamania: The Top 10 Amalgams 'Wizard' Wants to See") - Now having the power to back up the anger and resentment in his life, the creature that was once Robert Bruce Fairchild became known as Armageddon and rampaged through the world, wishing only to make others feel the pain he felt.

    To clarify, Amalgam Comics didn't really exist beyond those seen in the few DC/Marvel cross-overs. The titles you don't recognize are amalgams of similar Marvel and DC comics--Snood.

    In case it's not obvious, Armageddon is an amalgamation of Marvel's Hulk (Robert Bruce Banner) and Evil Ernie (Ernest Fairchild), then owned by Chaos! Comics, now (at least as of 11/12/2024) owned by Dynamite Entertainment.
