Key:
Marvel characters
are listed in regular, bold black type.
DC characters are listed in bold blue type.
Amalgam characters are listed in bold purple type.

To clarify, Amalgam Comics didn't really exist beyond those seen in the few DC/Marvel cross-overs. The titles you don't recognize are amalgams of similar Marvel and DC comics--Snood.

In case it's not obvious, Asylum is an amalgamation of Marvel's Venom (Eddie Brock) and DC's Joker.

Asylum is the product of an article in Wizard: The Guide to Comics I#71 in which the staff of the magazine came up with their own ideas for amalgamated characters.

Asylum's eye color was impossible to determine, as he was only ever seen in his symbiotic costume. Additionally, while his hair color appears green in the only image of him available, it's not clear if his true hair color is green or if the green is just a manifestation of the alien symbiotes bonded to him.

I'd personally love to see Asylum show up in one of the Venomverse stories! Given that the real name is the Marvel-owned Eddie Brock, I bet Marvel could use the character without any legal ramifications...though I'm no lawyer...
