History:
(Not Brand Echh I#8 /4) - After being passed over for membership into various superhero teams and beaten by his Auntie Mayhem, would-be hero Forbush-Man was approached by the Beatles, who felt he got a nice sound out of his cooking pot helmet and wished to have the hero join their band. Not even looking up to see who was approaching him, Forbush-Man declined the offer, insisting that he was going back to being a lone wolf and that no famous group would ever want him. Resigning themselves to Forbush-Man's declination of membership and figuring some people just didn't like crowds, the Beatles noted that it was too bad, as Forbush-Man would have looked great on their next album cover.

(Not Brand Echh I#13 /6) - The Beatles appeared on the cover of the "Cheap Shrills" album by Big Benji and the Clobbering Co., crying over the record sales that showed Big Brother and the Holding Co. as number one.

Comments: Adapted into Marvel Comics by Gary Friedrich and Tom Sutton.

Of course, Earth-665's Beatles are based on the real life rock band of the same name!

The Beatles are mentioned in Forbush-Man's Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe profile seen in Marvel Age I#45 but no new story info was provided, just a mention of them offering Forbush-Man membership into their band (as seen in Not Brand Echh I#8). However, the entry did confirm that they were called the Beatles circa Not Brand Echh I#8 despite them not being mentioned as such in the original issue...

Spoof I#4 (March, 1973) features a story in which rockstar John Lemmon and his wife Oko Yono appear in a costume as a two-headed Santa Claus and Lemmon mentions Paul by name. In that same story, someone is holding a Beat magazine that appears to have the Beatles on the cover. While the Spoof stories do seem to fall in line with the parody/humor stories seen in Not Brand Echh and could likely fit within Earth-665, this particular story is specifically titled as a What If? story, suggesting that it is an alternate reality not Earth-665. However, as a What If? story, it could have diverged from Earth-665 so it's possible that at least two of the otherwise unidentified Earth-665 Beatles could be named John Lemmon and Paul based on this story...

On a similar note, the Earth-80360 money-hungry Bleatles group appears on Behemoth Jack's Eleventh Hour Special TV show in Crazy Magazine I#78. They are an obvious parody of the Beatles. The Earth-9047 Beatles show up on the back cover of Marvel Age I#95 and while that series' humor content is similar to what we see in Not Brand Echh AND Forbush-Man is a recurring character, those events would be occurring on Earth-9047, as confirmed in the Forbush-Man trading card variant of 2018's Not Brand Echh I#14.
