History:
(Marvel Age I#95) - The Beatles band chose their second best choice for a 5th Beatle in the form of the armored "Beetle" (see comments), who joined the group as another guitarist.

Comments: Adapted into Marvel Comics by Chris Eliopolous, Barry Dutter and Ron Zalme.

    The Earth-9047 Beatles are obviously based on the real life rock band of the same name. Also, the line from the Beetle as being a "second-best" choice is a reference to former Beatles drummer Pete Best, who was replaced with Ringo Starr just before the Beatles hit it big!

    The Beetle was never identified by name nor has a version of the Beetle appeared in any other Earth-9047 story to my knowledge (though I'd love to be proven wrong!). One could assume his name is similar to the Beetle though, as it goes well with the Beatles gag in the story referenced here...
