History:
(Avengers Forever II#3) - Following the defeat of Earth-21798's Black Skull on Earth-818, "Carnage Red Skull" and several other Skull counterparts emerged from portals created by the Black Skull's machine that had torn into the Multiversal Superflow. As he emerged from a portal, "Carnage Red Skull" witnessed a Black Skull counterpart proclaimed to Earth-818 heroes Moon Knight and Vision that if one Skull fell, a thousand more would take his place.

(Avengers Forever II#4) - Earth-818's Ant-Man and his allies came to Moon Knight and Vision's defense and the Skull counterparts announced their plans to assume control of Earth-818 in the Black Skull's absence. "Carnage Red Skull" then joined the other Skull counterparts in attacking Ant-Man and his allies, prompting Earth-818's Moon Knight to suggest the heroes close the portals to the Superflow as more Skull counterparts arrived. When Reality-14412 sisters Atli, Ellisiv and Frigg emerged from one the portals, "Carnage Red Skull" was hit by the ship carrying the sisters and a massive battle quickly ensued, during which "Carnage Red Skull" was hit in the chest by a blast from Ant-Man's Knowhere Gun. Eventually, Earth-616's Ghost Rider arrived on the scene and used the Black Skull's former symbiote to pull the Skull counterparts back through the Superflow portals, effectively banishing them from Earth-818.

Comments: Created by Jason Aaron, Aaron Kuder, Cam Smith and Scott Hanna.

This counterpart of the Red Skull appeared to be bonded to the Carnage symbiote, not unlike the Earth-616 serial killer Cletus Kasady (Carnage), hence the title of this profile, "Carnage Red Skull."

"Carnage Red Skull"'s eye color was impossible to determine, as he was only ever seen with his head completely covered by the symbiote.

While the Marvel Database website lists this Skull counterpart's real name as Johann Shmidt, we are not given any sort of inkling as to "Carnage Red Skull"'s real name. It could easily be another person who, in their reality, had been transformed into a Red Skull counterpart or it could be a counterpart of Carnage himself or any other number of possibilities including the Database's possibility of it being a Johann Shmidt counterpart. On this note, we also are never told this character's origin so we do not know if the character is a mutated human, a mutant born with powers or the most likely origin: a human bonded to alien Klyntar symbiote.

The "Carnage Red Skull" was never actually identified by name though it stands to reason that at least part of his codename would be Skull, as the symbiote-powered Hydra Red Skull counterpart mentioned that when one Skull fell, a thousand more would take his place.
