History:
(Spider-Man Magazine I (#16) - "Super Heroes & Villains") - The Eye was a supervillain known to fly through the air on his glider projecting eyeballs and puss. He was the enemy of Komodon, Dart Dude and Weird.

Comments: Created by Shoresh "Abudini" (see comments).

    The Eye
was the product of Marvel's Spider-Man Magazine's "Super Heroes & Villains" section featured in issues of the magazine in which readers sent in drawings of heroes and villains they had come up with. In this particular issue, the Eye was created by then-11-year-old Shoresh "Abudini" of San Francisco, California.

After Spider-Man Magazine I#10, the issues of the magazine were no longer numbered and were only differentiated by the season and year the issue was published (i.e. "Fall, 1996," for example), as the magazine had moved from monthly publication to seasonal. According to the indicias of the Adventures of Spider-Man and Adventures of the X-Men trade paperbacks released a few years ago (which also reprinted some of the exclusive comic strips seen in Spider-Man Magazine), the issue that featured the Eye would have been #16.

It was not clear whether the Eye's actual head resembles a giant eyeball or if the eyeball look was just a mask...With that in mind, we don't know if his actual eyes are brown like the giant eyeball head or if the mask (if it IS a mask) just has a brown-colored eye.

The Eye's height and weight were impossible to approximate, as he was never seen next to any character whose height and weight had been officially determined.

The Eye's creator Shoresh (who actually corrected that his last name is "Alaudini" not "Abudini" as printed in Spider-Man Magazine) had this to say regarding the Eye:
"That was definitely a childhood highlight, seeing it (the drawing of the Eye) get published. I think I was 11. (Looking back at the magazine drawing of the Eye), I get to relive some giddy preteen nostalgia. I remember I was so excited, I literally shriek screeched like a little school girl banshee seeing the submitted character in Spidey Mag so many years ago. My voice hadn't dropped yet but still, I didn't realize I could hit that high a pitch!"

Shoresh also expressed interest in providing some additional background details about the Eye but as of yet has not sent anything yet and the conversation with him was back in January 2023. If any additional details and info not printed in the Spider-Man Magazine article are provided, I'll definitely update the profile to reflect the new info and maybe some new images!
