History:
(House of X#1 - BTS) - When Charles Xavier and Magneto established the sovereign mutant island nation of Krakoa, Xavier delivered a telepathic message to the world, welcoming every mutant to live on Krakoa. Fauna was one of the many mutants who accepted.
(House of X#1) - Fauna, Wrench, Sonos Rex and seven other mutants met with senior X-Men Banshee and Jean Grey at the former Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning, now renamed the Graymalkin Habitat. Outfitted in standard X-Men costumes the mutants followed Banshee and Jean through a Krakoan gate granting them access to the new mutant island nation. The new arrivals were welcomed by Wolverine and Charles Xavier.
(House of X#5) - Fauna, Glob Herman and many new residents of Krakoa were present to celebrate the resurrection of a strike-team of X-Men who'd perished during a dangerous mission to shut down Orchis' Mother Mold.
(New Mutants IV#1 - BTS) - Suspecting the young Fauna could help them with a certain coffee-shortage on Krakoa, Synch and Monet St. Croix sought out Fauna. Their idea proved successful as Fauna successfully produced a coffee bean that could grow on the island's fertile soil. Fauna swore the coffee beans were one part innocence and one part sincerity.
(New Mutants IV#1 - BTS) - Chamber brought some of Fauna's coffee beans back to Alpha House so he and Magik could brew fresh coffee.
(X-Men V#7 - BTS) - Waking up in the morning the depowered Aero wondered if there asked her friends if they had any coffee that Fauna was famous for.
(Cable IV#1 (fb) - BTS) - Having befriended Curse, another Krakoan mutant, the duo played near the Arak Coral (a portion of Arakko which had re-merged with Krakoa) when Fauna ran off. Afraid to tell the grownups Curse sought out the young Cable.
(Cable IV#1) - Curse managed to locate Cable and his friends Pixie and Armor near the Quarry where she asked for his help. Cable, Pixie and Armor set out to find Fauna, fighting a large beast and gaining the Light of Galador in the process.
(New Mutants IV#14) - Fauna joined one of the training sessions taught by the New Mutants. As such she appeared in a squad called the Ferals alongside Anole, Nature Girl and Scout as they took on the Elementals consisting of Dust, Rain Boy, Sprite and Petra (in reality an energy construct created by Vulcan). After finishing their battle, the New Mutants showed them a training of their own, Fauna and the other young mutants were amazed at their skills.
(Black Panther VII#23/2) - Fauna and Dryad waited alongside Jean Grey and Cyclops to welcome Krakoa's newest citizen, the young Abeni.
(New Mutants IV#15 (fb) - BTS) - The Fort, Fauna's home, was partly destroyed by a group of mutant bullies who also lived in the Akademos Habitat. Fearing retaliation, Fauna, Curse and the other young mutants decided to keep their identity a secret in fear of repercussion.
(New Mutants IV#15) - Learning of the Fort's destruction, Magik came to investigate and questioned Curse and the other youngsters who refused to talk. The young Fauna, however, revealed the truth to Magik who then set out to teach the bullies a lesson.
(New Mutants IV#16) - Having confronted the bullies, Magik ordered them to rebuild the Fort while Fauna and other youngsters watched.
(New Mutants IV#18) - Fauna was present amongst many mutants in the Arena to watch as Karma participated in the Crucible, a ceremony in which a (former) mutant had to battle for the chance to be killed and reborn a true mutant. Karma participated as she was bonded to her twin brother's life essence and hoped they could properly resurrect him.
(X-Men: the Trial of Magneto I#2) - When the Avengers came to visit Krakoa, Fauna and many mutants gathered near Arbor Magna to see the heroes.
(Marvel Meow Infinity Comic I#6) - When Wolverine brought several cats to Krakoa for the day, Fauna enjoyed hugging Alpine (Bucky Barnes' cat).
(New Mutants IV#31) - Fauna attended a class of "fundamentals of creative writing" taught by Karma, Moonstar and Pyro. Fauna was seen enjoying the class as Pyro checked her writing which was about a burrito driving a motorcycle. However just then, Emma Frost interrupted class to talk about their new arrival Escapade after which she made fun of Fauna's story.
(X-Men Unlimited III#102 (fb) - BTS) - Having befriended Abeni and Jellick, the three young Krakoans decided to go on a day trip. But while Jellick voted to visit an amusement park they others preferred to visit the pre-historic Savage Land.
(X-Men Unlimited III#102) - In an effort to teach the younger generation of Krakoa, Jubilee brought Fauna, Jellick and Abeni on a tour of the Savage Land. Beyond excited at the promise of wandering through the jungle, Fauna became mesmerized by what appeared to be a beautiful flower only for it to snap at her finger as Jubilee explained they shouldn't touch things in the Savage Land. Just then, the Krakoans noticed a group of three poachers who'd caught some small dinosaurs. Determined to stop the poachers and save the dinosaurs, Jubilee instructed Fauna, Jellick and Abeni to help. While Jubilee distracting the poachers with her fireworks, Jellick used her adhesive pink goo to gum up the vehicle's wheels. Abeni then approached the poachers, ordering them to stop while Jellick blinded the poachers with her adhesive pink goo. Their battle soon attracted a large dinosaur (mother of the stolen dinosaurs) charged at them, it was Fauna who used her abilities to explain to the dinosaur they were helping her after which the dinosaur apologized to Fauna. The Krakoan's said their goodbye's to the dinosaur who quickly returned to the jungle with her younglings while the poachers were still stuck in Jellick's adhesive pink goo.
Comments: Created by Jonathan Hickman and Pepe Larraz.
In X-Force VI#1 (November, 2019) a similar looking mutant appears on Krakoa but I believe this to be a different character. Said character has green skin and hair, but appears to be female, her skin is covered in fungi and her hair is braided. She's seen next to what appears to be her mother, a blue mutant with gills on her neck.
Fauna is one of the many new mutants introduced during the Krakoan age, but one of the few who's been identified. Others include Abeni, Aphelion (Reed Fox), Markos Argyros, Bad Guy (Gabe), Brutha Nature (Jacob Williams), Aura Charles, Paulie DiCosta, Curse, D-Cel (Miranda Manuel), Leonara Eng, Escapade (Shela Sexton), Faceshopper (Soph), Fish, Galura (Gabrielle Diwa), Gimmick (Carmen Cruz), Good Arson (Rex Ridley), Harmonize (ZZ Phalen), Jellick, Jersey Devil, Julia, Kafka, Kappa (Megan Ogawa), Kayla, Liana, Christopher O'Leary, Cam Long, Lost (Marinette), Pity Girl (Nora Kuang), Morgan Red, Rosie Rodriguez, Monica Sellers, Sights, Soft Serve, Somnus (Carl Valentino), Sonos Rex and Wrench.
