History: (X-Men '97 I#1 - BTS) - Harpoon joined the Marauders, a team of mutant assassins consisting of Arclight, Harpoon, Prism, Sabretooth and Riptide. (X-Men '97 I#1) - Determined his Nasty Boys weren't suited for the next stage of his battle against the X-Men, Mister Sinister sought to enlist new help in the form of the Marauders, Sienna Blaze and Hazard. (X-Men '97 I#2) - Harpoon, the Marauders, Sienna Blaze and Hazard appeared before Sinister as he explained they would be tasked to remind humanity of the danger that the X-Men would bring right to their doorsteps. As planned, all parties were send to attacked different groupings of the X-Men. Arclight and the Marauders were send to attack Wolverine and Storm at Harry's Hideaway where Storm and Wolverine had a heartfelt moment. After bursting through the facade of the bar, Arclight and the Marauders attacked the X-Men, while in mid-fight a third X-Man arrived, Morph who punched Harpoon in the face. (X-Men '97 I#3) - With Morph's additional power, the X-Man quickly gained the upper hand. However, it wasn't until several government agents lead by agent Carl Denti intervened that Harpoon and the Marauders managed to successfully flee the scene. (X-Men '97 I#3) - Several days later, Sinister learned that "Jean Grey" (in reality her clone Madelyne Pryor) would celebrate her baby shower at her family home and send the collective Sinister Seven consisting of the Marauders, Sienna Blaze and Hazard to destroy the entire town to sway public opinion against the X-Men. (X-Men '97 I#4) - Harpoon and the Sinister Seven (without Sabretooth) made their way to the Grey household, eager to fight the X-Men. During the battle Morph while posing as the Juggernaut took on Harpoon. It wasn't until the X-Men decided to switch tactics they gained the upper hand which lead Bishop to shoot Harpoon in the back and defeat Harpoon and the other members of the Sinister Seven. Harpoon and the others were presumably handed over to the authorities. Comments: Created by Chris Claremont, John Romita Jr., Brett Blevins, and Al Williamson; Arclight, Blockbuster, Sabretooth and Vertigo all part of Mister Sinister's Marauders on Earth-616 were replaced in the X-Men: The Animated Series by the Nasty Boys his main thugs in the show. Although unrevealed it's possible the Marauders would be too violent for the TV show, they did murder most of the Morlocks during the Morlock Massacre. However, in 2024 Marvel released the limited series comic X-Men '97 to bridge the original animated series to the X-Men '97: The Animated Series cartoon in which the Marauders finally made their debut. Consisting of Arclight, Harpoon, Prism, Riptide and Sabretooth. When, in 2015's Secret Wars, the Multiverse was destroyed following the incursions of planets it appeared as if Reality-92131 was drafted onto Battleworld as the Westchester domain. However, this has since been debunked. As such the reality seen in the two volumes of X-Men '92 (2015 and 2016-2017) now have their own reality-designation of Earth-15730. The X-Men '92: House of XCII (2022) series was inspired by both the animated series and Hickman's House of X run but is its own separate reality. The limited series X-Men '97 (2024), however, is Reality-92131 and bridges the gap between the original X-Men: The Animated Series cartoon and the new X-Men '97: The Animated Series cartoon.
