History: (Spider-Verse I#2 (fb) -BTS)
- Hornet was recruited into the Multiversal Spider-Army to defeat the
Earth-001 Inheritors.
(Spider-Verse I#2)
- Hornet joined numerous other Spider-totems on Earth-001's Loomworld
in a massive battle against the Inheritors.
(Spider-Man IV#2 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, Hornet was corrupted by Earth-616's Shathra the Spider-Wasp and transformed into one of her insectoid servants alongside many other Spider-totems from across the Multiverse.
(Spider-Man IV#2 (fb)) - When the Inheritor Morlun learned of the deaths of his family, he stormed Loomworld and found Earth-616's Shathra sitting on Loomworld's throne, surrounded by the corrupted Hornet and other Spider-totems. Growing tired of fighting Shathra's underlings, Morlun demanded to fight Shathra herself, only to be forced to flee when Shathra easily overpowered him.
(Spider-Man IV#2) - Surrounded by Hornet and an army of
corrupted Spider-totems, Shathra sensed that the Shathra-infected Miles
Morales of Earth-1610 was one of the last surviving Spider-totems in
the Multiverse.
(Spider-Man IV#3) - After corrupting Earth-423's Spinstress,
Shathra discovered the surviving Spider-totems' plan to stop her and
where they were hiding, prompting her to gather Hornet and the rest of
her corrupted Hive for a massive attack.
(Spider-Man IV#6) - Hornet was present at Shathra's side with
several other corrupted Spider-totems when the surviving Spider-totems
attempted to trick their way into Shathra's Hive.
(Spider-Man IV#7) - After those corrupted by Shathra were
freed and many Spider-totems once devoured by the Inheritor Morlun were
restored to life, Hornet and all of the Spider-totems were deposited
onto Earth-616, where Shathra reabsorbed the corrupting wasps into
herself to grow to gigantic size. He immediately joined the other
Spider-totems in attacking Shathra. Following Shathra's defeat, Hornet
was present when Earth-616's Spider-Woman, Scarlet Spider (Kaine),
Spider-Man (Peter Parker) and Spider-Boy were restored to existence.

Hornet's physical stats are based on Peter Parker of 616.
Hornet was never actually identified by name in any of his appearances but one can assume he's called Hornet, given that he is wearing armor identical to Earth-616's Peter Parker when he used the identity of Hornet.
We don't
have 100% confirmation
that this particular Hornet counterpart is Peter Parker beneath the
armor. We do know that it is a male and since Hornet shows up with
several other
Spider-totems, it seems likely that it is a counterpart of Peter Parker
and not Eddie McDonough, who did not have spider-powers. So whoever is
in the armor would at the very least be someone who had spider-powers.
Otherwise, he would not have been drawn into the war against the
Inheritors. I'd lean towards it being a Peter Parker counterpart who
kept the Hornet identity that he only briefly used on Earth-616...
Regardless of who is in the armor,
we are also not given an origin for this counterpart of Hornet
so we don't know if he gained powers by mutation, mutant genetics or
some other form of empowerment or even how he acquired the armor...
