The Hound also had bones covered
in the nigh-indestructible metal Adamantium and could extended bone
claws that were also covered in Adamantium, which allowed him to slice

on his arms and in his hollow eye sockets.
The Hound was almost completely
mindless and existed in a state of constant berserker rage, subject
only to the orders of Earth-14412's Dark Phoenix, to whom he was
regarded as a pet.

History:
(Avengers VII#51 (fb) - BTS) - At
some point, Earth-14412's Dark Phoenix traveled to Earth-83466 and,
hating her reality's Logan, she found Earth-83466's Logan and destroyed
his mind, leaving him in a mindless berserker state.
(Avengers VII#50 (fb) - BTS) - The Hound essentially became a slave of Earth-14412's
Dark Phoenix.
(Free
Comic Book Day 2021: Avengers/Hulk (fb) - BTS) - At some point, the
near-mindless Hound accompanied Earth-14412's Dark Phoenix when she
joined the Multiversal Masters of Evil under the leadership of
Earth-22215's Doom Supreme.
(Avengers VII#50) - The Hound accompanied the Multiversal Masters of
Evil to the prehistoric past of an alternate reality, where he assisted in killing that reality's earliest
heroes, diverging the barren Earth-818 from its original timeline.
(Free Comic Book Day 2021: Avengers/Hulk) - While on a barren reality diverged from Earth-10222 with the Multiversal Masters of Evil, the Hound immediately attacked a Multiversal Deathlok that had attempted to teleport to Earth-10222. The Hound ferociously attacked the confused Deathlok in a mindless, berserker state until the Deathlok managed to keep Hound at bay by unloading round after round of ammo into the beast. Eventually, the Deathlok knocked the Hound aside and while the Hound healed, the Deathlok was destroyed by Earth-45863's Ghost Goblin using the exploding severed head of Earth-1719's Ghost Rider. Sufficiently healing up, the Hound then joined the Multiversal Masters of Evil in checking to ensure the Deathlok was truly dead.
(Avengers Forever Infinity Comics I#1) - The Hound
accompanied the Multiversal Masters of Evil to Earth-5478, where he
aided in destroying that reality's prehistoric heroes. During the
battle, the Hound personally killed the caveman Phoenix, who muttered
about his death not being in the future he had seen.
(Avengers VII#50) - The Hound was brought along to
Earth-616, where the Multiversal Masters of Evil prepared to hunt the
Deathloks that had converged there. While there, the Hound watched as the Multiversal Masters were confronted by the Orb
(Avengers VII#51) - The Hound, Dark Phoenix and
Earth-36054's King Killmonger tracked a Deathlok to Asgard, where the
Hound impaled the Deathlok with his claws. Reality-616's Thor and Iron
Man were present to witness the murder and fought to defend as more
Deathloks arrived to give the Avengers a warning about the Multiversal
Masters of Evil. During the fight, the Hound leaped onto the back of
the flying Iron Man, who was surprised to see what he thought was
Earth-616's Wolverine. As Iron Man struggled to determine what had
seemingly happened to Earth-616's Wolverine, one of the Deathloks
informed Iron Man that the Multiversal Masters of Evil might resemble
people the Avengers knew, they were not native to Earth-616. The Hound
soon attacked again but Iron Man fired his gauntlet into the Hound's
face but the Hound soon recovered to battle Echo, who had arrived to
assist Iron Man and Thor. Recognizing the Hound as a counterpart to
Earth-616's Wolverine/Logan and the damage Dark Phoenix had done to
Earth-83466 Logan's mind, Echo commented on how Dark Phoenix must have
hated her reality's Logan so much that she had chosen another reality's
Logan to torture. Echo then noted that if Earth-83466's Hound was
anything like the Earth-616 Logan, there had to still be a hero buried
deep down inside his mind, one that she hoped she could carve loose
with her own Phoenix Force abilities. Echo then plunged psychic claws
into the Hound's mind, momentarily stopping him in place, but Dark
Phoenix gloated that her Berserkers group were her slaves forever with
scorch-marks where their souls once resided.
(Avengers VII#54) - After the final Deathlok was seemingly killed on Earth-616, the Multiversal Masters of Evil's leader Doom Supreme entered a mystic portal with Kid Thanos, regrouping on the other side with the Hound and the rest of the Multiversal Masters.
(Avengers Forever II#5) - The Hound accompanied the
Multiversal Masters of Evil to Earth-91, a reality populated by beings
resembling Earth-616's Man-Thing. He stood with arms crossed as Doom
Supreme killed the last of Earth-91's prehistoric heroes and
subsequently stood by Dark Phoenix's side as the Multiversal Masters
grumbled over which of them had claim to the remnants of Earth-91.
(Avengers Forever II#11) - The Hound was present with the other Multiversal Masters of Evil as they killed the prehistoric heroes of another alternate reality, at which point Doom Supreme commanded that they had destroyed enough realities. As the group discussed their next target, Earth-616, Earth-38590's Black Skull lost control of his symbiote, which then attacked King Killmonger, leading the Hound to assume a pose of readiness for whatever attack was coming. Moments later, Earth-616's Ghost Rider ran over the Hound and Kid Thanos with his Hell Charger, prompting a fierce, one-on-one battle between Ghost Rider and Doom Supreme that ultimately ended with Ghost Rider being rescued at the cost of the life of another Deathlok.
(Avengers Assemble Alpha#1) - After Doom Supreme arrived on Earth-616 in its prehistoric past, removing the prehistoric Agamotto's eyes and killing the prehistoric Starbrand, the Hound and the rest of the Multiversal Masters of Evil appeared on the scene, ready to battle Earth-616's prehistoric and time-displaced modern era Avengers.
(Avengers VII#63) - The Hound crouched by Dark Phoenix's side as both Avengers' teams summed up their opponents. As soon as the Avengers expressed a desire to take down the Masters, Dark Phoenix hit both teams with a searing blast of cosmic Phoenix fire. Dark Phoenix then sent the Hound into the smoking fallout with orders to kill anything that squirmed. Popping his claws, the growling Hound rushed out into the smoke and viciously slashed the prehistoric Ghost, only to be met with a spinal column of bones wrapping around his neck. The Hound slashed his way free, only to be met with more bones. The animated bones quickly wrapped around the Hound completely and the injured Ghost charged the bones with hellfire, burning it so hot that it melted the Adamantium on the Hound's bones. As the hellfire burned the Hound alive, liquid Adamantium poured from his eye sockets and the holes in his knuckles where his claws emerged. To ensure the Hound's death, Ghost then had his hellfire-charged woolly mammoth stomp the Hound's corpse into a bloody pulp on the ground. Ghost then emerged triumphant, proclaiming that the Hound's torturous death was payback for Doom Supreme killing his teammate, the prehistoric Starbrand, and he then asked who was next to die.
(Avengers VII#66) - Following the defeat of the
Multiversal Masters of Evil, Kid Thanos gathered the corpses of King
Killmonger and Ghost Goblin, the melted, warped Adamantium skeleton of
the Hound and the still-living Black Skull, preparing to dissect their
remains. Reality-616 demon Mephisto
then confronted Kid Thanos, who freely admitted his plans for the
corpses and asked what Mephisto's further plans were. When Mephisto
just laughed, Kid Thanos called him a creep and teleported away with
the Hound's skeleton, Black Skull and the two other corpses.
Comments: Created by Jason Aaron and Iban Coello.
While
the Hound was not referred to by that name on panel (only as A
Berserker or Dark Phoenix's Berserker due to his status as one of her
Berserkers, later THE Berserker when the Thunderer was killed & he
was the only Berserker left), his codename was revealed as Hound in
concept art for the Avengers Assemble storyline by Aaron Kuder (see image at left). For
the purposes of this profile, I'm going with the Hound as this
character's codename. If something more definitive is found, I'll
gladly update the profile to reflect that information.
Additionally, and kind of on that same note, his real name was only ever mentioned as Logan but it is very likely to be to James Howlett like his Earth-616 counterpart. Because it was never used though, I thought it best to mention it here in the comments rather than up in his Real Name section.
Oddly enough, the Hound was drawn without his beard
and mustache in his appearances in the Avengers Forever Infinity Comics
I#1 and Avengers Assemble Alpha#1, as you can see in the images above.
Profile by Proto-Man.
