History:
(X-Force VI#11 - BTS) - When Charles Xavier and Magneto established the sovereign mutant nation of Krakoa, Kayla was one of the many mutants answering the call. Instead of living on the island, she moved to the Savage Land and worked at the Krakoan Harvest Center, cultivating Krakoan flowers used to produce healing drugs.
(X-Force VI#15 (fb)) - During her time at the Harvest Center, Kayla became romantically involved with Colossus, a former X-Man who had joined the center. Their relationship blossomed as they worked together.
(X-Force VI#11) - One day, after Colossus declined an invitation to join X-Force, Kayla appeared with a basket, presumably bringing him lunch. She made herself known to Domino, who was surprised by her directness. Kayla revealed herself as the one who brought Colossus what he needed.
As Kayla and Colossus continued harvesting the Krakoan flowers, they noticed the Madroxes had been called away to Krakoa. Colossus joined them, only to discover that Krakoa was under attack by unidentified assailants, later revealed to be the forces of Mikhail Rasputin, Colossus' brother.
(X-Force VI#12) - Amidst their work, Beast, Domino, and Wolverine of X-Force suddenly appeared. Beast suspected a security breach and planned to bring Colossus in for investigation on Krakoa. Kayla, displeased with this plan, used her mutant water manipulation abilities to launch Beast into the sky. In an effort to take Colossus into custody, Domino pulled a gun on Kayla, resulting in Colossus agreeing to join them on Krakoa.
(X-Force VI#15) - Beast came to visit Colossus after he'd been returned to Kayla's side in the Savage Land. However, before Beast could bring Colossus a gift he was brought to his knees by an infuriated Kayla who used her control over water to form a dagger made from Beast's bodily fluids. Kayla was stopped by Colossus who accepted Beast's apology after which Kayla returned the water to Beast's body.
(Women of Marvel II#1/9) - Kayla was seen in the Green Lagoon when Marrow came to Feral's rescue who was being harassed by Roulette (Jennifer Stavros) and Andrea von Strucker.
(X-Force VI#20) - Kayla joined Colossus during Krakoa's inaugural Hellfire Gala where she got to wear a pink tassel dress with tassel boots to match.
(X-Force VI#24) - After a tiring day of harvesting, Kayla returned home, suggesting that Colossus shouldn't keep her waiting for too long before joining her.
(X-Force VI#24 (fb) - BTS) - However, after taking her bath and making dinner, Kayla decided to check out Colossus' paintings he'd left out. When she discovered Colossus had been painting and selling Krakoa's secret locations and technology, she was horrified.
(X-Force VI#24) - Upon Colossus' return, Kayla confronted him about the paintings, leading to a heated argument. Unbeknownst to Kayla, Colossus had fallen under the influence of the Chronicler, manipulated by Mikhail Rasputin. In a tragic turn of events, Colossus, controlled by the Chronicler, crushed Kayla to death. The Chronicler and Mikhail Rasputin celebrated her demise, while Colossus buried her body and disposed of any evidence.
(X-Force VI#36 - BTS) - Colossus began to carve out a channel through which water could flow and feed his crops close to where he had buried Kayla. While doing so he was approached by Domino who'd wondered where Kayla had gone to after which she confronted Colossus with a disturbing painting she'd found in her room. Colossus denied all responsibility, still under control of the Chronicler.
