    His thick hide renders him resistant to impacts, penetrating wounds, and heat. 

    His jaws are full of razor-sharp teeth and can lift heavy weights, while his hind legs allow him to jump to significant heights.His forelimbs (arms) are smaller and minimally used.

    He fights using not only his deadly jaws, but also his tail and legs.

    He can presumably track and identify people by their scent.

    He is presumably omnivorous, although he likely prefers meat.

    Moon Dinosaur is highly intelligent, able to understand human speech (or, at least that of Devil Girl, with whom he may have had some sort of mental rapport).

History:

(Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur#21 (fb) - BTS) - At some point, the "magical Moon Dinosaur" encountered the young Lunella Lafayette on Earth-17885. The two became partners, with Luna adopting the alias "Devil Girl" and causing all kinds of trouble for everyone.

(Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur#21 (fb) - BTS) - Moon Dinosaur and Devil Girl scared away an alien invasion.

(Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur#20) - The Omni-Wave projector powering her Moon Mobile affected by energies released by the irate Illa (Girl Moon), Moon Girl-616 and her partner, Devil Dinosaur-78411, were transported across the Multiverse to Reality-17885, and they arrived in Manhattan's Upper West Side, where they encountered Devil Girl and Moon Dinosaur; Devil Girl was less-than-pleased to see the new arrivals.

(Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur#21) - Devil Girl insisted this was "her world," and she eventually provoked a physical confrontation with Moon Girl, while Moon Dinosaur attacked Devil Dinosaur.

    Devil Dinosaur seemed to gain the advantage, getting behind/atop Moon Dinosaur and smashing him into a building.

    After the girls' fight was broken up by an adult (wearing bunny ears), Moon Girl used her boot-springs to climb atop Devil Dinosaur's head, while Devil Girl got on top of Moon Dinosaur's head, as well. Seeking some peace to help her figure out how to return to her own reality, Moon Girl led Devil Dinosaur to flee.

(Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur#21 - BTS) - Zoe and Eduardo convinced Moon Girl that Devil Girl was just a pain and not actually evil, and that she had actually done some good.

(Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur#21) - Once her Moon Mobile was functional again, Moon Dinosaur and Devil Dinosaur glared at each other as Moon Girl met with Devil Girl, making peace with her and advising her to listen to her friends. Devil Girl argued that Zoe and Eduardo were not her friends and that there was no one that she would miss if they were gone. This received a "Gyoork?" response from Moon Dinosaur, but Devil Girl told him to shut up.

    After Moon Girl put her hand on Devil Girl's shoulder and told her not to worry, as she would figure things out, Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur departed on good terms with Devil Girl, at least.

    Other than being similar sizes, we don't know how much history Moon Dinosaur shares with Devil Dinosaur.

    Is he a mutant?

    Is he a he?
        I didn't see Moon Dinosaur referred to as male or female specifically, so who knows?

    Does Moon Dinosaur originate from an alternate Earth dominated by dinosaurs in the modern time period?

    Both Devil Girl and Zoe refer to Moon Dinosaur as magic, and the name Moon Dinosaur implies that he is from the (or a) moon.
        It would be very interesting if Moon Dinosaur is was indeed magic and from the moon.
        However, neither of those possibilities are confirmed.

    We need more Moon Dinosaur!
