Powers/Abilities: Skorpion is a mad genius that always believed himself to be one step ahead of his opponents. His soul is contained within a crystal that is grafted to a massive gorilla/scorpion hybrid clone body with a gorilla upper body (without a head) and a scorpion's tail and legs. He possessed the proportional strength of a gorilla (lifting 4,000 pounds) and the speed of a giant scorpion (around 30mph). His scorpion tail was genetically modified to fire a conversion-ray that could convert others into hosts for crystalized souls of the dead.

As Neohedron he wielded a massive hand cannon.

In his original body he possessed several cybernetic enhancements including metal hands and a cybernetic right eye. He used a variety of weapons like a Shadow-Ray and a special gun firing Neutronium ammunition. He invented the so-called Skorpion Gate, which could open portals to other dimensional planes specifically the Neutral Zone.

Height: Unrevealed ((Neohedron) 12'; (human) 6'; all by approximation)
Weight: Unrevealed ((Neohedron) 600 lbs.; (human) 180 lbs. (maybe more due to implants); all by approximation)
Eyes: None; formerly red

History:
(Wasp I#2 (fb)) - Dr. Evald Skorpion sought to end the world and founded the nihilist terrorist organization W.E.S.P.E.

Some of W.E.S.P.E.'s members eventually became dissatisfied with Skorpion's infantile schemes and left W.E.S.P.E. to become founding members of Whisperer (Dr. Janos Trovaya)'s W.H.I.S.P.E.R. organization.

(Ultimates II#9 (fb) - BTS) - <1998> At some point Skorpion hit Adam with a Shadow-Ray. Adam was still recovering from it when he and his son Kevin encountered the Infinaut near Machu Picchu.

(Mighty Avengers II#9 (fb) - BTS) - Skorpion stole Adam Brashear's research notes on Neutronium and the Neutral Zone and used it to create ammunition that could even hurt the Blue Marvel.

(Mighty Avengers II#9 (fb)) - Skorpion tried to salvage Rama-Tut's future technology in Egypt and was ready to use it to tap into the Neutral Zone, but he was interrupted by Blue Marvel and Max Brashear. Skorpion shot Blue Marvel with his special Neutronium ammunition and was ready to activate his Skorpion Gate. He didn't care that his actions would destroy the whole world, but Max Brashear punched him in the face and Skorpion accidentally fell against the console and shorted out the system by hitting random buttons. Max Brashear got sucked through the portal to the Neutral Zone while Skorpion got pulled apart molecule by molecule by the energies released from the portal. Blue Marvel destroyed the gate before it could cause any more harm, leaving his son trapped in the Neutral Zone.

(Captain America and the Mighty Avengers#6 (fb) - BTS) - Even after his death many W.E.S.P.E. agents remained loyal to him and even years later hoped to make him proud. A few agents hired by Jason Quantrell built a Skorpion Gate in honor of their late leader.

SECRET WARS III HAPPENED

(New Avengers IV#2 (fb) - BTS) - W.H.I.S.P.E.R.'s leader the Maker (Reed Richards) of Earth-1610 captured the soul of Evald Skorpion, stored it in a crystal and grafted it to a body created from gorilla and scorpion genes as the source for the Life Minus experiment.

(Avengers VI#0/4) - The Maker ordered the First Scientist to accelerate their timetable and prepare Neohedron for deployment within one month.

(New Avengers IV#1 (fb) - BTS) - W.H.I.S.P.E.R. released Neohedron in Paris to spread Life-Minus...

(New Avengers IV#2 (fb) - BTS) - ...and convert the populace of Paris into hosts for the souls of the dead by using the conversion-ray in his tail,...

(New Avengers IV#1 (fb) - BTS) - ...which drew the souls of the dead to Earth and stored them within crystals that replaced the heads of their human hosts, whose heads were shunted to a higher dimensional plane.

(New Avengers IV#1 (fb) - BTS) - S.H.I.E.L.D. sent in a team of gamma-enhanced agents to investigate the situation, but lost contact to them...

(New Avengers IV#2 (fb) - BTS) - ...when they were turned by Neohedron.

(New Avengers IV#1 (fb) - BTS) - After 90% of Paris' population had been transformed they moved into a pentagram formation to open a line of communication to the afterlife.

(New Avengers IV#1) - Maker ordered Neohedron and the transformed S.H.I.E.L.D. agents to deal with the Avengers Ideas Mechanics team because they had become a threat to his plan.

(New Avengers IV#2) - Neohedron and the gamma-enhanced S.H.I.E.L.D. agents attacked Avengers Idea Mechanics. After Wiccan transformed the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents' gun, White Tiger and Squirrel Girl took them down despite them activating their gamma-enhancements. Neohedron used his conversion-ray to transform the two heroines into hosts of the dead. Songbird created a sound shield to block Neohedron's conversion-ray and protect the rest of the team. Roberto Da Costa, who was in contact with Songbird's field team in Paris, had Dr. Max Brashear and Dr. Toni Ho to come up with a solution to revert the humans back to their original state. Brashear and Ho came to the realization that even though the human bodies were animated by the soul crystals, their human head still existed somewhere. Using a suggestion by A.I.M. scientist Mandy O'Connor as a template Wiccan linked the minds of Power Man and Songbird to find the higher-dimensional frequency to revert the Life-Minus process by broadcasting it all over Paris through Avenger One's speakers. All the soul-inhabited crystal heads exploded, including Neohedron's but while everyone else turned back to human, Neohedron's artificial composite body was left behind without a soul to control it.

(New Avengers IV#2 - BTS) - Maker ordered to retrieve Neohedron's body because he might still find some use for it.

BTS - Neohedron got better with Skorpion's soul once again in control over Maker's monstrous creation.

(Avengers: No Road Home#10) - Neohedron allied with the Technocracy to end humanity, but he was opposed by Blue Marvel, Hulkling, Ms. America, Dr. Toni Ho and Spectrum in Germany. He was seemingly destroyed by the latter.

Neohedron created by Al Ewing and Gerardo Sandoval.

The Mighty Avengers II#9 flashback took place way back around the time the Fantastic Four first encountered Galactus in Fantastic Four I#48-50 (May-May, 1966). At this point, due to the sliding timescale, these events took place at some point after the year 2000.
