History:
(Realm of Kings: Imperial Guard#3) - On the planet Ovar, at least three Rigellians attended a meeting at the former seat of the Galactic Council (also attended by Ovoids, Kree (with Karnak of the Inhumans speaking for them, with Lockjaw at his side), and the Shi'ar (with the female Araki and Admiral Ka'ardum standing behind the current Shi'ar Imperiator, Gladiator (Kallark)). reality-33160-rigellian-blasted

Karnak proposed rededication of the Galactic Council, as formalized authority in the quadrant had been lacking since Vulcan's murder of the Council members who had met with him.

As backed by Inhuman Queen Medusa, Karnak advised that, in the wake of war, the senior races of the galaxy (see comments) resolved to offer external governance to the collected races of this stellar neighborhood.

One of the Rigellian representatives interrupted, noting that that was all very well but that the Rigellians wished to know what safeguards were in place against further Shi'ar aggression (as the former Shi'ar Imperiator Vulcan had triggered the war with his unprovoked attack)... reality-33160-karnakdeath

Infuriated, Gladiator blasted the Rigellian in the face, blowing a massive and certainly fatal hole through his head.

Gladiator then grabbed Karnak by the neck and insisted that those present (if not already slain by him) show the Shi'ar respect and advising them that there was no Vulcan anymore, only himself.

Choking, Karnak reminded Kallark that he served the Inhuman Queen Medusa (as the Shi'ar at surrendered to and were under the domain (at the time) of the Kree, who were (also at the time) controlled by Earth's Inhuman Royal Family.

Angrily shouting that he was no one's puppet, Kallark snapped Karnak's neck.

Comments: Created by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning and Kevin Walker.

In Reality-616, Gladiator was bored during the meeting before being irritated by the Rigellian's commentary on the Shi'ar threat. He briefly imagined lashing out, butwhen called upon for a response, Gladiator asked if they could adjourn for a short break. Traveling outside, he was frustrated that this role was not for him.
