Powers/Abilities/Functions: Scales and Tales
presumably would function as a typical veterinarian clinic upon its
opening, handling the medical needs of all manner of animal and
animal-like patrons residing in Brunswick, Maine.
History:
(Howard the Duck V#11 (fb) - BTS) - After graduating veterinary school
and inheriting a large sum of money, Beverly Switzler purchased a prime
building location in Brunswick, Maine and began the process of opening
the Scales and Tales veterinary clinic.
(Howard the Duck V#11) - Beverly was painting the
walls of Scales and Tales when the building inspector George informed
her that everything had passed his inspection. George then commented
that Beverly could open the clinic at any time and when Beverly
hesitated in her response, George asked if she was having second
thoughts about opening the clinic. Beverly explained that she was just
a bit overwhelmed at how fast everything fell into place for Scales and
Tales and her assistant interrupted to suggest they open sooner rather
than later, as they already had a message from a man who claimed his
own wing was sprained. Figuring the potential patient was old her
friend Howard
the Duck, Beverly just smiled in response.

It was never shown if Scales and
Tales actually opened.
The "man" calling to leave a
message about a sprained wing was heavily implied to be Howard the Duck.

George was the building inspector assisting Beverly Switzler in the opening of Scales and Tales. He eventually informed Beverly that the building passed all inspections and wondered if perhaps Beverly was having second thoughts about the clinic when she hesitated to respond.
