History:
(X Lives of Wolverine I#5 - BTS) - During the Westward Expansionism in America, Jurgen Shields owned a cattle ranch outside the town of Cracked Earth in the New Mexico Territory.
(X Lives of Wolverine I#5 - BTS) - At some unrevealed point in time Jurgen faced charges of cattle rustling and sending a goon squad to rebrand and recall his herd. The charges were brought on by the Pinkerton Detective Agency of whom a detective was possessed by the time traveling evil mutant Omega Red who'd been tasked by Russian Mikhail Rasputin to murder Charles Xavier's relatives throughout time.
(X Lives of Wolverine I#5 - BTS) - Soon, however, Wolverine appeared, who'd been send through time by Charles Xavier and Jean Grey to stop Omega Red, to join the fight against the Pinkertons. Wolverine joined Jurgen and was able to finish them off by inciting a punishing stampede of blood and dust and thunder.
(X Lives of Wolverine I#4 - BTS) - In an effort to lessen their impact on the timeline, Charles Xavier and Jean Grey unleashed a mile-wide psionic blast to make those affected forget everything that had transpired. The psionic blast was made to feel as if this affected by it would feel like their rising from a nap they can't quite remember.

Jurgen Shield was the great-grandfather of Sharon Xavier, Charles' mother.
So when did Shields adventure with Wolverine take place? While the Westward Expansion took place between 1801 and 1861, the Pinkerton Detective Agency was established around 1850 in the United States by Scottish-born American cooper Allan Pinkerton and Chicago attorney Edward Rucker. Taking this into account their adventure would've taken place between 1850 and 1861.
X Lives of Wolverine I#3 (February, 2022) depicted several battles throughout times of Wolverine versus Omega Red, one of them clearly depicting Wolverine fighting a possessed Pinkerton detective.
