History:
(Edge of Spider-Verse IV#2 (fb) - BTS) - Gluemy Miller was a quiet boy who never quite fit in with his peers. After moving into the town of Webberton, Gluemy Miller, mostly regarded as the new kid, developed a secret crush on the red-headed cheerleader Sailor. He was relentlessly bullied by jock Fish and his friends, who once glued Gluemy to a flagpole. One day, Gluemy saw a note taped to his locker that appeared to be from Sailor asking to meet Gluemy after her cheerleading practice for help with her science class, unaware the note had been written by bully Fish to lure Gluemy into a beating.

(Edge of Spider-Verse IV#2) - Wandering past the Spider High football field where Sailor was finishing up her practice, Gluemy heard a voice emanating from the cemetery that shared land with Spider High and he ventured into the cemetery thinking the voice was Sailor. When he commented that he had received Sailor's note, the bully Fish and his friends overheard Gluemy and confronted him, with Fish asking if Gluemy was trying to move in on Sailor. Gluemy tried to explain about the note and Sailor, who had received a note of her own, realized Fish had written the notes moments before Fish chased after Gluemy. Gluemy ran all the way back to Spider High, rushing past teacher Dr. Krakenpuss, who muttered to himself that the kids' time would come. Finding the door to the school's boiler room, Gluemy opened the door and prepared to venture into the boiler room, where he heard a familiar voice, but Fish shoved Gluemy from behind, causing him to fall down the stairs and break his neck. As he lay dying, Gluemy was confronted by the enigmatic Spooky-Man, who suggested Gluemy embrace his darkness to save everyone from an impending darkness.

The next morning, Gluemy awoke to find his skin looking especially pasty and his hair pitch black. His father woke him up and commended him on the new look before driving him to school and once there, Gluemy's new look garnered lots of whispers and comments behind Gluemy's back. Walking past Sailor, Gluemy asked how she could have involved herself in the situation from the evening prior and when Sailor tried to explain, Gluemy saw the Spooky-Man, who commented on Sailor's looks. Terrified and still thinking Spooky-Man to be fictional, Gluemy ran out of the gym in fright with Sailor, who was unable to see the Spooky-Man, followed behind in an attempt to apologize for the previous night. Running off into the cemetery, Gluemy demanded the Spooky-Man leave him alone but the Spooky-Man continued trying to goad Gluemy into returning to the school as Sailor continued trying to apologize. Unaware Doctor Krakenpuss had transformed himself and the teachers union into the Sinnerster Six and that they were attempting to summon a Great Beast, Gluemy witnessed lightning strike a tree above Sailor and he ran to shove her out of the way of the falling limb. Hit the limb himself, Gluemy was again killed but the Spooky-Man took over Gluemy's body to become physically active on Earth. Gluemy's consciousness asked if he had become the Spooky-Man but the Spooky-Man explained that he was merely assuming control of Gluemy's form and he assured Gluemy that they would accomplish great things together.

Returning to Spider High, the Spooky-Man engaged the Sinnerster Six as they tried to capture and sacrifice the equally-returning Sailor. Despite Spooky-Man's attempts to save Sailor, Doctor Krakenpuss hurled Sailor atop a cheerleading pyramid, sacrificing Sailor and her Spiderlings cheerleader friends to bring the Great Beast to Earth in the form of Spider High itself. Gluemy then witnessed the ghost of his mother appear in the tower of the nearby cemetery and while Gluemy was distracted, Doctor Krakenpuss knocked him into the sacrificial pit. Spooky-Man enjoyed the fall and along the way, he was assaulted by the Great Beast-controlled Spiderlings. Realizing he had to remove one of the sacrifices to halt the Great Beast appearing on Earth, Spooky-Man devoured Sailor's soul, removing her soul from the sacrificial equation and banishing the Great Beast. Sailor's soul then explosively erupted from Spooky-Man's stomach, destroying Spider High and restoring the Sinnerster Six to their normal selves. Following the explosion, Gluemy Miller and Sailor were left sitting in the center of the blown up school and everyone's memories of the Great Beast and what had happened were hazy at best. Sailor recalled being saved by Gluemy but could not recall what exactly had happened and the students and staff wondered if perhaps a tornado had destroyed the school. Sailor thanked Gluemy with a kiss on the cheek before running off to check on Fish. Spooky-Man then informed Gluemy that the evil of that night had been completely undone and when Gluemy lamented that he was still all alone, Spooky-Man assured Gluemy he would stay by Gluemy's side, reminding Gluemy that he was always just one terrible, horrible death away.

Comments: Created by Kaare Andrews and Bob Quinn.

Mr. Miller's father was never actually identified by name but one could assume he is at least named Mr. Miller since Gluemy's last name is Miller. Of course, it's not out of the question that Gluemy could have a different last name than his father...At any rate, for the purposes of a subprofile, I've chosen to go with naming him Mr. Miller. If something comes along to change that, I'll update the profile to reflect that.

Profile by Proto-Man.

CLARIFICATIONS:
Earth-24563's Gluemy Miller
should be distinguished from:

Mr. Miller

Mr. Miller was Gluemy's overly positive father who often referred to Gluemy as "Champ." Following the death of his wife, Mr. Miller took a job at a collider in Webberton and kept a constant smile, trying to keep focus on the present and not get buried in the negativity of the past. Following Gluemy's first death and merger with the ghostly Spooky-Man, Mr. Miller noticed the change in Gluemy's look and expressed that he liked the new look. When Gluemy tried to ask about his mother on the subsequent car ride to school, however, the rosy Mr. Miller attempted to change the subject by suggesting they focus on the present rather than the past.

Spooky-Man

Spooky-Man was a ghostly spirit that resided in the cemetery that shared space with Spider High and his actual presence was unknown, with most sightings of the Spooky-Man being relegated to local urban legend or rumors. When new kid Gluemy Miller moved to Webberton, he equally regarded the Spooky-Man at nothing more than a local legend but when Gluemy visited the cemetery after being tricked there as a prank, Spooky-Man tried to lure Gluemy to him by speaking to the boy. Gluemy brushed the voice off as belonging to a girl he had a crush on, Sailor, and he ultimately ran away when he realized he had been tricked to the cemetery by bullies. Pursued by the bullies back to Spider High, Gluemy opened the door to the school's boiler room and Spooky-Man again tried to communicate with Gluemy but the boy was shoved down the stairs by the bully Fish and he snapped his neck in the fall. Spooky-Man then appeared before the dying Gluemy and merged with the boy, healing his injuries and taking up residence inside Gluemy's body. The next day, Spooky-Man's residence inside Gluemy caused Gluemy's skin to become pasty and his hair to become jet black. When Gluemy arrived at school, Spooky-Man spoke to him about Sailor, terrifying Gluemy into fleeing into the cemetery. While Gluemy was running away, teacher Doctor Krakenpuss and the teachers union transformed themselves into the Sinnerster Six and set about trying to summon the demonic Great Beast. Sensing the danger, Spooky-Man tried to get Gluemy to understand the importance of returning to Spider High to save everyone but Gluemy was too scared to realize what was going on. When lightning struck a tree, causing a large limb to fall towards the pursuing Sailor, Gluemy shoved Sailor out of the way and was killed by the falling tree limb, allowing Spooky-Man to assume physical control of Gluemy's body while healing Gluemy's injuries. In their merged form, Spooky-Man/Gluemy then returned to Spider High but was unable to stop Doctor Krakenpuss from sacrificing Sailor and her Spiderlings cheerleading squad. The Great Beast soon took physical form on Earth as Spider High itself and Spooky-Man managed to banish the Great Beast by devouring Sailor's soul, thereby removing the sacrifice that kept the Great Beast on the Earthly plane. Spooky-Man then allowed Sailor's devoured soul to burst from his stomach, causing an explosion that destroyed Spider High and restored not only the Sinnerster Six but Sailor and the Spiderlings as well. His control of his body restored, Gluemy Miller found himself next to Sailor in the ruins of the school with no one else recalled what had transpired. Noting that while he might have saved everyone, he was still alone, Gluemy was assured by the Spooky-Man that he was not alone and that he was only one more death away.

The Spooky-Man existed as a ghostly spirit that could only manifest on the Earthly plane in an immaterial form that only those he possessed could see and hear. He could take possession of other beings by merging with their physical forms. While possessing another being, Spooky-Man could heal any physical injuries they had suffered and he could communicate with them in a psychic fashion. He could also feed on the souls of other beings and expel them back out if needed. He could physically control the body of those he possessed upon their death.
