History:

(Micronauts I#13 (fb) - BTS) - Rival gang leader Wartstaff betrayed his son Bug, handing him over to the despot Baron Karza's Colonial Governor on Kaliklak so that he could take over Bug's gang. Wartstaff lied to the gang that Bug had betrayed them to the Colonials for information on their lair. Wartstaff's clumsy leadership led to several gang members getting killed by Colonials, but Wartstaff blamed it on Bug's supposed betrayal. Wartstaff then coerced Bug's lover Jasmine and her gang into joining him.

(Micronauts I#13) - Bug eventually escaped and returned to Kaliklak. He confronted the traitorous Wartstaff in his den during a gluttonous feast away from any travails against Colonial oppressors. Jasmine stopped Wartstaff's hidden knife attack by slicing off his antennae. Bug, Jasmine and their allies also stopped Wartstaff's loyalists.

Micronauts I#14 (fb) - BTS) - Bug had Wartstaff placed under guard at the lair so that he, Jasmine and the others could fight Colonials and Karza's Dog Soldiers elsewhere.

(Micronauts I#14) - Bug and his crew overwhelmed the Dog Soldiers at Central Nest's Air Terminus. Wartstaff had escaped and followed Bug, and joined Bug's brigands taking control of fighter craft in an attack on the Colonial Governor's headquarters next. Heavy defensive fire kept the fighters at bay. Wartstaff disassembled his battle cruiser to distract the main gun, hoping he could lead his old gang in looting the governor's HQ so they would return following him, but Wartstaff's plan failed and his cruiser segment was blasted, the blazing debris falling onto the main gun. That gun's destruction let the Kaliklakians penetrate the defenses.
