Powers/Abilities: Due to his exposure to Gen X-Factor, Wild Card has the ability to explosively unleash the latent kinetic energy of inanimate objects, a power he tends to focus through playing cards.

    He also has enhanced senses.

    In battle, Wild Card carries a staff, rope and playing cards that he charges and throws as explosive projectiles.

History:
(Wizard: The Guide to Comics I#71 - "Amalgamania: The Top 10 Amalgams 'Wizard' Wants to See" (fb) - BTS) - A member of New Orleans' Thieves Guild, Remy Cash was hired alongside the rest of the Thieves Guild by the government to steal a vial of Gen X-Factor serum from a rogue scientific base. During the mission, all seven of the Thieves Guild members including Remy were exposed to the Gen X-Factor and gained superhuman powers, in Remy's case, enhanced senses and the ability to unleash the latent kinetic energy of any inanimate objects. Wishing to cover their tracks, the government soon tracked down the various Thieves Guild members and killed them all except Remy Cash.

    To clarify, Amalgam Comics didn't really exist beyond those seen in the few DC/Marvel cross-overs. The titles you don't recognize are amalgams of similar Marvel and DC comics--Snood.

    In case it's not obvious, Wild Card is an amalgamation of Marvel's Gambit (Remy LeBeau) and DC's (then Image's) Grifter (Cole Cash).

    Wild Card is the product of an article in Wizard: The Guide to Comics I#71 in which the staff of the magazine came up with their own ideas for amalgamated characters.

    Wild Card's eye color was impossible to determine, as he was only ever seen with his mask on.

Gen X-Factor was a mutagenic serum that was being held at a rogue scientific base. The government hired the New Orleans Thieves Guild to steal a vial of Gen X-Factor but during the mission, all seven of the Thieves Guild were exposed to the serum and were granted superhuman powers.

Thieves Guild

The Thieves Guild was a New Orleans-based group that counted Remy Cash among its number. Known for the thievery skills, the Thieves Guild was hired by the government to steal a vial of the mutagenic Gen X-Factor from a rogue scientific base. During the mission, all seven of the Thieves Guild members were exposed to the serum and granted superhuman powers. Afterwards wishing to cover their tracks, the government began hunting down the Thieves Guild members and they successfully killed all but Remy Cash, who used his powers to avenge his fallen teammates as Wild Card.
