CYBORG
Real Name: Unrevealed
Identity/Class: Human cyborg (cybernetically enhanced)
Occupation: Assassin
Group Membership: AIM
Affiliations: MODOK
Enemies: Captain America, Sharon Carter
Known Relatives: None
Aliases: A-12
Base of Operations: An unidentified AIM base
First Appearance: Captain America I#124 (April, 1970)
Powers/Abilities: The Cyborg was powered by a microwave energizer hidden beneath his skin. He has superhuman strength (Class 10?) and durability (though easily susceptible to short-circuit if exposed to water), and he can emit blinding light from his eyes and walk straight up sheer walls.
History:
(Captain America I#124) - MODOK sent a pair of assassins, A-12 and A-14, to
attack Captain America, knowing they would meet defeat. Upon their return, he
had A-14 eliminated and then offered A-12 the choice of death or the cyborg
experiment; he chose the latter. AIM technicians swiftly rebuilt him into a
powerful cyborg totally obedient to MODOK, who sent him to rob a bank as a test
of his power. MODOK then arranged to have the Cyborg ambush Captain America via
a false SHIELD assignment; Sharon Carter realized it was a trap and tried to
fend him off first, but she was no match for the Cyborg. Captain America arrived
seconds later, fighting the Cyborg as well as the numerous traps set up in the
building. Eventually Captain America goaded the Cyborg into striking a water
pipe, and the Cyborg was short-circuited. Without his energizer functioning, the
Cyborg was easily overpowered by Captain America.
