First Appearance: What If II#70 (February, 1995)
History:
(What if II#70 (fb) - BTS) - Galactus
arrived on the Earth for the first time and tried to consume it. Alicia Masters
tried in vain to convince Silver Surfer to turn against his master. Uatu the Watcher
helped the Fantastic Four to find the Ultimate Nullifier.
(What if II#70 (fb)) - On the top of the Baxter Building, Reed Richards threatened Galactus using the Ultimate Nullifier, but Silver Surfer blasted Reed and Galactus took the Nullifier. Angered for the Watcher's interference, Galactus disintegrated him. Susan, Johnny, and Ben brought the wounded Reed and Alicia Masters to the bunker under the building. The time lock blocked them behind six feet of adamantium composite.
The Avengers attacked Galactus. Wasp was shot by the defensive systems of Galactus' machinery. Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Quicksilver and Captain America were killed by Galactus. Iron Man was beaten by Silver Surfer. While the world was submerged in flames, Thor hit Silver Surfer. The two battled, Silver Surfer was wounded, but apparently killed Thor.
Galactus drained the energy life from Earth, leaving it shattered, airless, and lifeless.
Several days later, the Fantastic Four came out of their bunker and met the only other man alive on the planet: Doctor Doom.
They united to seek revenge and left the Earth on Doctor Doom's spaceship. Reed's anger, blame, and hunger of revenge grew day after day.
Months after the Earth destruction, they found Galactus while
he was eating another planet. Doom approached Galactus with the clear purpose of
stealing his power, but was intercepted by Silver Surfer. Meanwhile, the
Fantastic Four entered Galactus' Ship, but a Punisher hit Reed,
dropping him down a pit. The remaining three battled the Punisher and
several others of his "brothers". Doctor Doom drained the Surfer's power,
but
overloaded his armor, and the two exploded.
The Wasp, who had hidden in the Galactus' ship for months, found Reed Richards and brought him the
Ultimate Nullifier. Susan, Johnny and Ben joined them, and they all reached Galactus. Reed tried to use the Nullifier with all his will, but
found he could not make himself nullify the Universe.
Galactus, looking at Richards who spared him when the victory was
sure, acknowledged the nobility in Richards and all the sentient beings he had ignored
before. So, they made a pact: Galactus would no longer consumed populated
worlds, and the Fantastic Four would become Galactus' heralds.
(What if II#70) - Mister Fantastic and his friends, guided Galactus to feed on lifeless planets. Their voyage continued at a hundred light years from the Solar system.

This reality was designated
Earth-952 in the Fantastic Four Encyclopedia.
The Earth-952 timeline and the Earth-616 timeline are quite coherent. With the
exception of Silver Surfer behavior, the only other differences are the Wasp's
costume and the Giant-Man's costumes.
Earth-952 diverged from Earth-616 during the events of Fantastic Four I#48-50.
