History:
(Defenders I#48 - BTS) - Leo was
created in the Theater of Genetics by Scorpio, who wanted him to serve
as a member of his Zodiac, and to be his friend.
(Defenders I#49) - When the Defenders invaded the Theater of Genetics, Scorpio was forced to activate the LMDs prematurely.
(Defenders I#50) - Leo engaged the Defenders in combat, and badly injured Hellcat with his superior strength and claws. However, Gemini turned against Leo and caught him in a water vent, then blasted him out into the river.
(West Coast Avengers Annual#1) - Leo joined the Zodiac LMDs in following Quicksilver in his attempt to gain revenge upon the Avengers. Leo joined Libra, Scorpio and Virgo in attacking the Keibler Circus. Leo released lions from their cages to cause a panic. He fought Tigra, and tired her out because his cat-like nature was too much for her conflicted personalities to handle. Iron Man knocked out Leo with a punch to help Tigra. Afterwards, Leo was turned over to the authorities by the Avengers.
(West Coast Avengers II#26) - After being set free from prison, Leo joined the Zodiac LMDs in an attack on the human Zodiac Cartel in Dallas, Texas. They managed to kill all of the Cartel members except for Cornelius Van Lunt, and assumed their roles in the criminal underworld.
Later, Leo joined the LMDs in an attempt to rob businessmen at a cattle auction in Wichita, but they were interrupted by the West Coast Avengers. Leo fought Tigra, but fled the battle with the other LMDs when Hawkeye accidentally slew Sagittarius. Afterwards, Leo was reprimanded with the others by Scorpio, who was disappointed in them for having run, but Leo stood up to Scorpio, noting that each of the LMDs had to obey their programming based upon the Zodiac signs.
(West Coast Avengers II#27) - Later, Leo aided the LMDs in ambushing Hawkeye, whom Scorpio replaced with his new Sagittarius LMD. Afterwards, Leo attended a meeting with the LMDs as they bickered over how to defeat the Avengers. Leo again questioned Scorpio's authority.
(West Coast Avengers II#27 - BTS) - Having had enough of Leo's ego, Scorpio ambushed Tigra and sent her to the Ankh Dimension, replacing her with an LMD duplicate who would serve as his new Leo. He had her infiltrate the Avengers, unknown to the rest of his Zodiac.
(West Coast Avengers II#27) - When the new Sagittarius was discovered by Mockingbird, the new Leo LMD helped Mockingbird destroy him in order to maintain her cover. She reported to Scorpio on the success of her infiltration, using her wrist communicator.
(West Coast Avengers II#28) - Leo joined the LMDs in robbing the Denver Mint, but were interrupted by the Avengers (including the new Leo/false Tigra), though Scorpio managed to teleport them to Death Valley along with their loot. When the Avengers caught up to them once more, Leo fought with Wonder Man. To set the Zodiac Key free from an energy field Iron Man had placed it in, the new Leo took him down with Virgo's energy-siphon. Scorpio then revealed his new Leo to the old Leo, causing him to fly into a rage and tear Scorpio apart. However, the Zodiac Key put Scorpio back together. When Scorpio brought the Avengers and LMDs to the Ankh Dimension, hoping to have an advantage, the LMDs were all shut down instead, leaving them immobile in the Ankh Dimension.
(JLA/Avengers#4) - Leo (male incarnation) was among the villains pulled forth from time and space by Krona to guard his stronghold from an onslaught by the Avengers and the JLA.
