History: (Guardians of the Galaxy#28) - After Four Freedoms Plaza's top floors were destroyed in an explosion, Dr. Octopus decided that the time for an invasion of the Avengers Headquarters was right, and founded a new Masters of Evil in order to assist him. When they attacked the Headquarters, they found it defended by the support crew, and by the time-traveling Guardians of the Galaxy. Yellowjacket was uneasy with Dr. Octopus' plans, and helped the Guardians. Ultimately, Jackhammer, Titania, the Absorbing Man, Oddball and Powderkeg were defeated, but Gargantua, Puff-Adder and Shocker aided Dr. Octopus in breaching the headquarters.
(Guardians of the Galaxy#29) - The Masters fought the Guardians, but their struggle was interrupted by the arrival of their doppelgangers, sent to battle them by the Magus. The two teams joined forces against their doppelgangers, holding them off until all the doppelgangers were rendered inert by Galactus. Dr. Octopus still intended to raid the headquarters, but Shocker, Puff-Adder and Gargantua turned against him, now sympathetic towards the Guardians, and chased him away.
