It can also repair minor damages in rapid fashion and is composed of unknown metals. It can also fly and fire destructive eyeblasts, and it tends to attack and destroy anything within its vicinity. History:
(Avengers I#295 (fb) - BTS) - The Mechanisaurus Rex hails from an alternate future Earth in which robot dinosaurs, the Dinodroids, war against humanity, who use advanced technology against them. The Mechanisaurus Rex is apparently the most powerful type of Dinodroid, whose origins are unknown. Also identified by name are the Roboceratops.

(Avengers I#295) - The Mechanisaurus Rex appeared during an assault of six other Dinodroids on the human forces, dramatically turning the tide of the battle, causing the human soldiers to flee. However, at that moment the temporal warrior Kang-Nebula teleported the Mechanisaurus away for her own uses. Distracted by their mighty warrior's sudden disappearance, the Dinodroids were assaulted with renewed vigor by the human forces.

Kang-Nebula transported the Mechanisaurus Rex to Washington, D.C. on Earth-616, and she then directed her pawn, Dr. Druid, to send Thor solo against it, as Thor had resisted her efforts to control the Avengers. The Mechanisaurus easily withstood Thor's initial strike, blasting him to the ground and following up with a series of blasts he narrowly dodged. After the creature was unaffected by a powerful lightning strike, Thor recognized that the creature could not be easily subdued without major damage to the city. He summoned the other Avengers, but Dr. Druid prevented the others from traveling to his aid. However, via a distraction provided by the She-Hulk, the Black Knight was able to escape and take a quinjet to D.C.

As the Mechanisaurus continued to advance on the nation's capitol, Thor attacked it once again, but it again shrugged off his mightiest blows and smashed him into a building which collapsed on top of him. Thor recovered in time to dodge a crushing blow from its tail and took to the air, but the Mechanisaurus flew after him. As their fight continued, Thor realized that the robot was repairing itself and needed to be totally destroyed before the fight could be finished. The Mechanisaurus managed to snatch Thor from the air and threatened to overpower him, when the Black Knight arrived. Leaping from the quinjet, the Black Knight used the Ebony Blade (and his own body, magically transforming to match the Blade's composition by an ancient curse) to rend the Mechanisaurus' head. As the robot struggled to repair itself, Thor struck again with Mjolnir, assuring that the Mechanisaurus had no head which could be repaired. The decapitated robot fell into the waters below and did not surface.
