History: (Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. I#5 - BTS, Defenders I#49 (fb) - BTS) - The Nick Fury LMD was stolen from S.H.I.E.L.D. and reprogrammed by Scorpio. He employed the LMD of his brother as his personal servant, venting his frustations at Nick upon the LMD.

(Defenders I#44-45 - BTS) - The Fury LMD was dispatched by Scorpio to collect Jack Norriss, known to be an ally of Kyle Richmond. Norriss, believing he was dealing with the real Nick Fury, fled for his life, having had an unpleasant encounter with the real Fury months earlier.

(Defenders I#46) - The Fury LMD caught up to Norriss at an oil refinery alongside two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents he had duped into believing he was the real Fury. He shot Norriss with a stun gun.

(Defenders I#47) - As the Fury LMD and his pawns began to gather up Norriss, they were interrupted by the Moon Knight, who fought the LMD. When Norriss arrived, the LMD decided his mission was a failure, and dropped a smoke bomb, disappearing with the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents.

Later, the LMD contacted the Avengers, claiming to be the real Fury, told them that Norriss was wanted for debriefing, and that they should turn him over to them as quickly as possible.

(Defenders I#48) - The LMD met with Scorpio and encouraged him, helping him to continue in his plot to create a new Zodiac. Jake sent the LMD to collect Jack Norriss from the Avengers Mansion, and to pick up some beer. The LMD brought Jack back to the Theater of Genetics and turned him over to Scorpio before returning to work. After apparently expelling Moon Knight when he invaded the facility, Scorpio had the LMD bring Jack some blankets so that he could rest. The following day, they found that Moon Knight had escaped, and Scorpio blamed the LMD for allowing it to happen.

(Defenders I#49) - After Scorpio had captured Nighthawk, Nighthawk asked the LMD to set him free, thinking it was the real Fury, but the LMD refused. Later, when the LMD pointed out that it was Scorpio's fault that Moon Knight escaped, Scorpio lashed out at him angrily. He then revealed to Jack that it was only an LMD, not the real Fury

(Defenders I#50) - With his Zodiac members either "dead" or defeated by the Defenders, Scorpio gave in to his depression. The LMD attempted to cheer him up, and encourage him that he still had something to live for, but Scorpio was not convinced. He ordered the LMD to hand him his gun. The LMD replied that if he had any free will, he wouldn't. Jake said a farewell to the LMD, then shot himself in the head. When the body was found, the LMD was discovered holding the gun, attempting to protect the man it considered to be his brother.

(Defenders I#51) - The LMD was confronted by the real Nick Fury, who suspected that Jake's death had been a suicide. However, the LMD maintained that it was responsible for killing Jake, and was taken into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody.
