Powers/Abilities: Sycamore's body appears to be made of a wood-like material, similar to a tree. He can extend root-like structures from his body up to an unidentified length.

    It is unrevealed whether he possessed any other plant-like abilities but it was possible that he could draw nutrients by extending his root-like structures into the ground.

History:
(X-Force I#129 (fb) - BTS) - The mutant Sycamore joined the X-Force farm teams, from which mutants were selected to join the celebrity mutant main X-Force team. While based out of the Mojave Desert training grounds, Sycamore competed with other farm team members in an effort to prove he was worthy to graduate into the big leagues. During his time with the X-Force farm teams, Sycamore garnered quite an impressive record.

(X-Force I#129) - Following the death of U-Go Girl, X-Force visited the X-Force training camp in the Mojave Desert to look for new recruits and when X-Force first arrived, Sycamore was battling another mutant, Mant, for a chance to graduate to X-Force itself. During the fight, Sycamore extended root-like structures into the ground and from his fingertips in an attempt to crush the ant-like Mant. Mant, however, used his mandibles to bite through Sycamore’s wood-like fingertips, causing Sycamore to reel back in extreme pain.
